Hi, all! I used to have a Macan and recently had one as a loaner; on that vehicle, I would hear a super awesome noise whenever I drifted across the lane-- do we have the on the Taycan? I have Innodrive and most/all of the safety and assist options, but can't seem to locate this one. Thanks in advance!

The “wah wah”? I love that noise! My wife adopted it as her default noise she makes when she thinks I’m drifting. I like it less when she does it.

I haven’t found any audible feedback on the Taycan for this. Just steering wheel tugging, so I actually keep it off because it’s annoying. I’ll be interested to see what other people know.

IIRC there is kinda a dissonant tone if you violate the lane markings for too long. It’s only happened to me once or twice and one of the LKA lines were red at the same time. So since this is the Internet, correlation == causation, Q.E.D.

I have found it annoying and sometimes inacurate in the Taycan as well as the Macan. I have turned it off.
I used to have it in two BMWs (2015 and 2017) models and it was better (only chime, no steering intervention) and I would keep it on for highway driving. I have also experienced better versions in other brands like Mazda.

Porsche has some catch up to do for almost all their safety systems (ALK, Innodrive, surround camera) and I am not comparing to Tesla Autopilot. I am comparing to every other brand.

Eh, I find the surround view in my Macan to be fine, at least as good as the one in an F80 M3 I had. The Taycan is the only one I’ve had that is really bad; I crack up watching a car drive across behind me in the rear camera. It’s so squished. ?

I don’t actually have the lane monitoring in my Macan; just in a loaner once. I liked it better than the lane monitoring in the M3 as well, but mainly because of that noise it made. “Wah Wah”. It’s almost an incentive for me veer out of the lane to listen to it.

It really doesn’t make me much difference though. I don’t care for those types of assistance systems in general anyway. The surround view is the only one I really like and use frequently, even in a bad implementation like the Taycan.
