I just tried to charge at a Tesla SC (shows as useable in Tesla app) ..but charging failed. I noted tho that the CCS1 lock on the Vortex did not lock to the Porsche. Has anyone else had that issue?

I have used it successfully on my KIA EV6 and it definitely locks - so I am guessing the non-lock is a problem?

How old is your adapter? There's a new one (Vortex Plus) that has a slightly different design with a new interlock. I have both and plan to do a test not that SC is open to Porsche but can't do it for a couple weeks.

I just got and tested the Vortex Plus version. Nice solid click when inserting either side of the adapter. Used the Tesla app to initiate charging and it took all of 30 seconds. Adapter worked just fine charging at 100kW (probably max I was going to get with the battery at 85 degrees & 55% SoC), not warm at all. Plus version is UL approved whereas the original is not so there is some difference but it sure doesn't look to be external. Check the receptacle on your car to see if there might be something lodged there preventing the adapter from seating fully.

I went to a different Tesla SC w/ my Vortex (NOT a Plus) and it worked just fine....good news but I won't trust the process fully until I use it more...

My best guess is that the issue was the SC I used yesterday BUT I also have an open ticket with Lectron..will update as possible.

When charging at Tesla rolled out for KIA, there were issues at some SC and not at others - so this may be new rollout burps.

The App was unremarkable and the process is not new to me (since I have been charging my KIA EV6 for a while).

I "warned" Lectron that others may see a similar situation (because their initial reaction was Porsche can't charge at Tesla SC)

The use of adapters, no matter where they are sourced, adds one more layer of complexity and potential cause of failure to the DC fast charging process.
