State laws differ, but recalls alone rarely trigger a payout. If your car was purchased from an AZ dealer, the AZ lemon law applies, not California laws.

I reside in CA and bought a car from Florida. Almost 3 years later, the car was bought back by the mfg through the Lemon law.

Porsche can buy it back, it's not through California lemon law though.

In 2025 California requires the consumer to request a buy back directly from the manufacturer before an attorney can get involved.
Manufacturer has 30 days to comply with the consumers request.

If the manufacturer rejects the written request, when an Attorney gets involved, it will increase your chances of getting higher civil penalties on top of a buy back.
