Hi, newbie here... I bought Taycan 4S 2023 from Porsche Reading last week, as it was the spec I had been looking for, I travelled about 200 miles to buy the car and was really excited as it was a replacement for I Pace.

The car only has 6,500 miles on and is in excellent condition, or so I thought. On my way home noticed car was a bit unstable and terrible buffeting noise when going over about 60mph.

After phoning the dealer and explaining was a problem with car they said would collect the car and have a look, but as it would be driven back to them and not taken on a transporter I declined and took it to my local dealer Porsche Hull to have a look; on inspecting the car, they found the rear undertray was missing.

Porsche Reading has agreed to pay the cost of this, but I'm still waiting for them to offer an explanation as to how a large part could be left off, and how did it pass the 111-point approved used check with this missing?

I've been without the car for nearly a week, and had the inconvenience of having to take it to get it fixed. Also I have said that have no confidence that the approved used check was done correctly.

Has anyone had similar issues with a dealer and what was agreed to compensate them?

Thanks

That is poor for Reading given they are owned by Porsche GB who's HQ is above the showroom. I would email the Centre Principal and ask him to investigate [email protected]
They should have offered to put the car on the ramp for you to inspect before handover. Who was the sales person?

rear undertray missing. what else could be wrong or missing. ask them to reverse the deal or get major discount and extended warranty for free. the earlier you do this the better you will be off on the long run. how much was the car? just curious.

Thanks, to be fair I couldn't fault the salesperson, so I have taken up this directly with service manager, if I dont get a satisfactory outcome, I will email centre principal.

That's partly the basis of my complaint, what else may have been missed. I have balance of manufacturer warranty plus 2 years on Porsche approved, so good until early 2028.

I paid £60,300 for it.
