Well Porsche ME been Saying its coming since 2019.... I even Reached out to High Management in Germany through a close friend & am sure they are working on it...
I sorted this for Tesla when they entered to ME region and it was simple and easy, UAE need a Local ISP to provide the Date Sim card and Porsche probably have a global Roaming Packages and see ME as a small market.. I had a Bad start with the Taycan, first I intentionally Delayed my order to 2021 to get the 22KW On-Board Charger (Car showed up with 11KW) the reason was "Sorry Factory didn't install any 22KW on the first batch on 2021 Models"
Its Fine Hoping they may have a Retro fit, But still No Mobile App.
To make it Clear coming from Tesla's Community and I still own 3 of them its like going back to Nokia. I am really hoping its going to get sorted before the summer I depend on the App to get the AC Precool the car.
About Hacking or Work around getting my own sim in and getting it activated by different regions Willing to sign a Waiver if needed & pay for it.
I respect the chain of command, and I have to admit Porsche did a great job in everything but kept the German system (cant take risks as the Americans)
Audi AG & VW also effect the Internal Management. I wish the VW CEO Read this and Cut them loose to get them up and act fast.
Again any suggestions! on how to get it activated with out Porsche ME.. Could EU or USA can assist? or any 3rd party smart systems
