Meranti brown vs beige

Does anyone know how different meranti brown looks when compared to atacama beige?
In some photos meranti brown seems to look beige, in others it looks a more taupe colour. Any photos to compare would be appreciated! Thanks

I was torn between these two colors and went with atacama after seeing it in person. Looked amazing. Could never find a Meranti in person but those that did had very mixed reviews. It has a slightly greenish tint which I didnt want.

Thanks for the video. My build will likely be mamba green so I'm not put off by a greenish tinge, as that will suit it fine. I have two young boys, so the beige will likely not be an option for me!
The configurator doesn't give a decent representation of meranti brown at all - much lighter in all the videos!

Yeah, I had a real tough time finding a good representation of the Meranti. Since I couldn't see it in person, I went with a safer choice, but was really on the fence. Could be perfect for a green exterior.

Isn't it chalk and cheese?

Seriously consider going to your dealers to see colour swatches of all paint colours and interior trims. Choice of exterior paint colour will be key too.

My dealer had few swatches for the Taycan.

Yep. I haven't check the last couple months though, but that was the status as of August.

Thanks, I had a look at swatches next to the mamba green exterior swatch but the meranti looked quite a bit lighter than this in all the photos and videos I found - much more like a beige.

I'm also considering truffle brown but not sure if it's all a bit too brown!

I saw the Truffle Brown in person after locking in my options. It was gorgeous. I partially question if I made the wrong choice, but will be happy with the Atacama. The other choice I made was to go with dark silver rather than the neodyme. Neodyme looks cool but I think it is just a tad too much for me, and may get old over time.

I would be concerned with the windshield reflection of the truffle brown since the dash is much lighter. We have lots of sunny days in Florida.

Photos are a bit risky for these types of decisions as we can see what it does to paint colour (reds in particular). I'd say it's much darker and definitely not beige (both are either end of the brown spectrum). Truffle is different again - deeper / richer. I can't find any Porsches (any model) in UK which have meranti but plenty with the other choices (it may be limited to Taycans). Try searching the US approved list and you might stumble across an example or two in the other colours.

One of my favorite places I ever visited. Thinking of going back this coming summer. I bet driving the Taycan around those windy and narrow roads can be a challenging blast.

Thanks to both of you. I'll try track down a meranti interior somewhere so I know for sure if I prefer it to the truffle brown. Hopefully the sun comes out for you in Scotland!
