One thing I don’t understand is how dealers don’t know when they can order MY25 Turbos, so far 3 dealers are keeping unofficial lists but aren’t sure when they will be able to order custom builds. Negotiating is impossible when someone can’t even tell you if you can buy one or not. It feels like a game. I don’t think the market is strong though for dealers but I could be wrong.

On the battery front, I have been looking for my technical details on why it can run hotter, and is better beyond the chemistry. So far not much detail coming up.
Allocations are tight (on purpose) as many dealers still have MY24's to move. Expect this situation to improve shortly.

That makes sense.

I was tempted by a few MY24s … in some respects while I really want to do PTS…. Finding a fantastic deal on J1.1, or just sticking with my MY20 and riding it out to 2027-2028 is likely the smarter (if you can call spending this kind of money on a car smart) move.

Porsche sales model is strange to me still.

I think for 911 allocations they are more strategic - with the Taycan, they know the EV market is slow now and they want to give dealerships an opportunity to clear out the MY24's. I was thinking about getting a MY25, but the deals are just not great and I know the depreciation will once again be high (I'm selling my like-new '21 Taycan Turbo for close to 50% off MSRP after 39mo).

yes. It would take a pretty good discount for me to buy new. I want to but I don’t think any dealer will move enough. Probably for the best, there is always next generation. ?when all battery tech will be the best and the software will be perfect..
