Hi Guys,
I'm currently driving a BMW 330e and looking for an upgrade.
Porsche Taycan came in as top in my consideration list.
However after going for a test drive, I was somewhat disappointed and I need help in deciding if this car is the right one for me.
I'm looking for a car that is quiet, comfortable and cool looking.
On its look, there's no question on that, Taycan definitely ticks the box.
Now it comes to quietness and comfort of the car.
During my test drive, I realise that the car's electric motor is quite loud.
Initially I thought that the sports sound was turned on, but it was not.
Comparing to 330e, 330e is close to silent during electric drive, you could only hear some minor hissing noise.
But for Taycan, it's loud when it accelerates and even louder when breaking.
Probably due to a much bigger electric motor?
I heard from others saying that Tesla Model S is close to silent, but I don't trust Tesla's built quality.
Is that the true noise coming from the car, or it was augmented by the speaker?
Can it be turned off totally?
As for comfort, with PASM option, do you guys think Taycan can be as comfortable as an E class or 5 series?
There's not much time during my test drive and the road was pretty even.
Thanks!
