Hi,

Picked up new Taycan today and it's already off to a bad start - Porsche Connect is not working to login to the PCM - gave up in the end after 1.5 hr at the dealership trying to get it working on car handover. They left it with a "The porsche servers must be busy as it's the end of the month" BS line - I'd had enough and left deciding to try again later when I got home.

I've tried tonight again and still no joy with the PCM saying "Login is not possible at present. Please try again later"

Below is what has been tried thus far at dealer when picking the car up.
- Reset MyPorsche password
- Ensuring Private mode is off (the car says it's deactivated but when I check MyPorsche Website/Connect Store for the services it says car is in Private mode, not sure if that's expected as I can't login to it - when logging into PCM as guest it says Private mode is deactivated)
- Reset PCM to Factory setting
- Powered off car waited 10 mins tried again.
- Tried logging in multiple times 10+

All of the above didn't solve the problem, my iPhone login to Connect and MyPorsche work ok, logging in to the web page on desktop PC also works ok. i.e. the username and password is fine.

Any further ideas before waiting another day and calling Porsche Support or Dealer again?

Similar to you I couldn’t login to my PCM when I was picking up the car. I can’t remember the error code. No matter what we did, it wouldn’t work even though my credentials worked mine on the website/app.
In the end I changed my password to a simple, temporary one I.e. Mirror878€ which the PCM accepted. I’ve since changed the password and the PCM was fine.

Already tried the simple password, when i reset it at the dealership they asked me to use their default one , that didn’t work either :(

I’ve since reset mine back to something stronger.

Any other ideas to try?, I'm now beginning to think that there is something wrong with the Data connection completely, the PCM shows LTE is active and on PCM setup it does say data connection is ok and you can login to Porsche Connect but it then continues to fail whenI put in my credentials with the error I mention in Original post "Login is not possible at present. Please try again later" , I've now noticed logging in with Guest that Satellite Maps isn't working either when selected also.

I'm going back to the Dealership on Thursday but any other ideas to try in the meantime, I've not tried calling Porsche Connect yet based on other feedback I read that they are useless.
Every time the car is powered off it also resets and goes back into Privacy Mode but I'm not sure if that is expected or not until I can login as the main user.

On a more positive note I was able to test and check that my PodPoint is working ok after it being installed about 6 weeks ago but not having an EV car to check it or not, first change today on General Profile to 85% worked ok 1st time.

The reason the password doesn’t work
Is some special characters are not suitable. Use a ‘!’ Or ? Instead.

Stick with ! as the only special character (for now).

The username and password were fine, ! Was the special character in the password.
The problem was in the Porsche servers backend infra and the car not be recognised correctly, was 1.5 days at the dealership but got fixed and is working now. I believe a number of new cars have had this problem, the dealership said they had the same issue on another new Taycan the day I dropped mine off.
