New Taycan owner questions

I have always wanted a Porsche. I now have my first, a Taycan Turbo. My previous car was a Tesla Model S. I love my new Taycan!
I have 7 questions after doing much research….
1- Will the Taycan open and close my garage door like my Tesla based on GPS? I have added the door a couple times, still no auto open or close based on location.

2- Does the car need to connect to both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth? If so why? Does it make a difference whether it’s the Taycan 5G or the other Taycan Wi-Fi network?

3- Do you use PCM, or if you are a Apple person Carplay? Why?

4- Can you get your iPhone’s texts in the car? If so, how?

5- It seems like Porsche Innodrive features only work when adaptive is on. Do you have to set a speed to get the features to work?

6- The exterior mirrors don’t tilt down in reverse even though I have that box checked. Is this a bug?

7- Can you save recuperation settings ? When I turn the car on, recuperation is off. I would like it left on.

I don't have answers on all your questions, but let me try:
#7: the new version of software will allow that.
#6: it should work if you checked that.
#5: don't have innodrive, so i don't know.
#4: you can't read texts by yourself (security), but they can be read by a nice voice (it's funny how she pronounce Slovenian words )
#3: I'm using both. CarPlay is useful since Google maps are (much) more accurate than PCM. But I use PCM for SoC prediction.
#2: honestly, i don't know the difference, but if i remember right, AppleMusic works better via wifi
#1: don't have garrage, so... i don't know (but i do remember that there were lots of complains about that here in the forum)

it won't open your garage door based on gps, but it will pop up a garage door button on the middle screen based on gps. It will also raise the car up to full height based on gps which is really useful if your driveway is a bit steep.

As far as setup for this... the my dealer came to my house to set up my garage door. It was a more tedious to do than I would have expected.

#6 Put the car in reverse and then manually dip the mirror down to where you want it to be. Then save the settings (buttons in the door). It should remember this and automatically dip when you reverse

The garage door opener works , with the button popping up at my location. I was just hoping for the auto close, auto open feature that Tesla has.
