At what stage of the process as tracked on TYD does Porsche assign your vehicle a VIN? I thought I’d read that at some point they make your VIN available on My Porsche app or website.

At what stage of the process as tracked on TYD does Porsche assign your vehicle a VIN? I thought I’d read that at some point they make your VIN available on My Porsche app or website.

VIN must be allocated first before it can be assigned to your Porsche Connect ID and then viewed in My Porsche.

Your dealer will advise more.

When TYD reaches “Start Production” and you have an actual date your VIN will appear a day or two later.

However it won’t appear in TYD, it will appear in the My Porsche 4 step tracking next to “Your Taycan” title.

My SA provided me the VIN as soon as it was generated. You get it when the car is about to start production. If the VIN has been generated, you should find the VIN under the "network" tab within the 'orders' section. Following the instructions provided in this thread for locating production images.

Incase anyone is wondering the same, ~2 days after TYD said my car should have started I noticed a VIN was associated with my car on the web version of MyPorsche. My TYD showed my car jumped to complete then in ready for transport 5 days after build start then at Emden about 3 days later. Today I got an email and a photo of my car on the assembly line. Seems like work is progressing on schedule, hopefully all the parts are installed.

Once TYD changed to "Scheduled for Production", I noticed VIN showed up when you do "Inspect" on the page.
