There is absolutely no evidence to support this bizarre decision by Anglesey, who have been reading the Sun too much. I have just booked a track day with Castle Coombe whose website says it does not allow EVs. However, the Taycan is a Porsche and not all EVs are designed equal.
This thing about needing marshal training and safety equipment that the Anglesey CEO was citing as reasons for banning EVs? If you read the Motorsports UK guidance on EVs, the need for specialist marshal training and safety equipment only extends to racing events. It gives the following advice about a non-competitive event like a track day: -
"No Specific requirements other than ensuring completion of an appropriate risk assessment to consider any additional risks that may arise due to the inclusion of Electrified Vehicles in your event."
