Why is the cost of wrapping a Taycan 4S in the UK a secret? Spent an hour searching for an answer but can't find a price.

it will be around $8k U.S. with film and ceramic.

It is not a secret, it will just vary based on the ceramic brand, PPF film that you choose and the installer's markup and labor costs. Some will be less for a full car (perhaps as low as $6k?) and some might be higher (perhaps around $9-10k?).

I did wrap and ceramic. However, if I were to do it again, I think I would choose a newer product with dual benefits and only choose one or the other. For example, this film from SunTek:
https://suntekfilms.com/paintprotection/ppf-reaction

This was not out when I took delivery and if I remember, came out a few months after I got mine done. I have not got a quote for this, so I am unsure if this film has additional costs vs. other PPF film. However, I would bet that even if it was higher it would be net-cheaper than wrap+ceramic.

In the spirit of your thread, post what you end up going with and what the total cost ends up being and your experience with the installer. Might be helpful for others and if a positive experience, will give someone in your area a reputable source to have theirs done at.

It’s not a secret, just contact your local specialist for a quote…
For a full PPF wrap (Llumar) I was quoted around £3750, which also included a ceramic coating after.

When I got my PPF quote it states that it is guaranteed for 10 years.

My detailer comes every week rather than ceramic coat anything. Worked with all my cars for years.

Thank you for your very helpful reply. I live in England and have not yet purchased my Taycan. I have moved from London where property prices would put San Francisco to shame to coastal Lancashire in the northwest of England where prices are more sensible. When the sale monies are finally received, sometime next year, (it is very complicated) I will have enough left over to buy what I like. But I won't let it go to my head so it will be a 4s rather than a Turbo. A Cross Turismo is very tempting.

In London E1 (Whitechapel) I could not afford to garage a car, only an open-air parking lot for an old battered car and a new Porsche would be an immediate target for thieves and vandals. A double garage in a Kensington backstreet is on the market for £525,000. I could buy 5 Tayans for that!

When the time comes I will certainly contribute whatever I can about my experiences and share them here, particularly with UK members in mind. In the meantime I shall continue to follow this site, It is quite a find. And thanks again.
