Hello!

First time Porsche owner (hopefully by the end of December, build allocation for October)! I never cared much for cars, drove a Volvo and was okay with just getting from A to B. Then I saw a Taycan Cross Tourismo and well, my heart literally started beating faster! But never having been into cars before, I am unsure about certain options. I don't want to push past 140k euros.

First of all, my code PNDXRPA3 - this is a Norwegian code, not sure it translates to English if you are outside of Norway? If not, I can put up a list of items translated to English on request.

Next, the options I am unsure about:
  • PTV+, this feels overkill for a 4S? I will never run it on a track and will have two kids in the backseats most of the time when not daily driving to work.
  • Upgraded breaks? Again no track
  • Head-Up Display, never had this before and generally don't think I need one, but I have no experience to base that on
  • Night View Assistant, (same as above) but I do a lot of country road driving here in Norway, but the matrix headlights should be enough?
  • Porsche logo projecte under the doors, is this even useful? E.g. for getting out in the dark in case there is ice under the car (Norwegian winter...)
Finally, is there anything obvious that I am missing here? I will add a roof box at a later point (hence the rails, a very Norwegian thing) and stick to the bag for now. Winter tyres will be 19" because it's just better for the conditions we have here, 20" for summer because of comfort (family car).

Hi,

None of the options you have listed above are necessary for the reasons you have given.

There are puddle lights in the door mirrors which will help with identifying pools of water / ice but the door projector ones are in the under edge of the door and lower to the ground. I'd say you don't need these either nor do you need to be told you are in a Porsche.

offroad design pack is 'questionable' - looks better without - try and see one in real life if you can.

Gloss black inserts which I think you have.

Accent package is already dark / black do you need to pay more for dark silver?

Preparation for rear cycle carrier - I think you have this selected.

Rear Axle Steering with Power Steering Plus

Ioniser is pointless (personal choice, had it on a Panamera and didn't notice any advantage)

150kW 400V DC booster - not sure if you have 400V charging stations in Norway - if so then tick the box unless it is standard equipment

Comfort Opening - useful

Looks great!

Right, then I will remove them. Just gimmicky then.

I did not pick it after seeing it in real life. I respect that some people like it. Too much Volvo Cross Country for my taste.

Yep, I do. Looks super nice in real life I think.

It just added some "flair" to the interior when I was going for all black. Perhaps overkill as it stands now with the two toned interior...

Yes, my dealer highly recommended this to me.

Rear Axle Steering with Power Steering Plus
It's there, but it's in Norwegian...

I'll have to think about it. We have some allergies in the family and it is a fairly cheap upgrade.

Not an option in Norway.

Comfort Opening - useful
I have mixed feelings regarding this, working in the field of sec/engineering I prefer to avoid these things if I can...

Thanks for the feedback, I very much appreciate it!
