Overload Protection will reduce charging speed if the househould grid connection is close to its limit, making sure it doesn't get over the limit and causing everything to shutdown.

I was just making the small point that PMC+ works with HEM when you said it didn't. Functionality may be less than when used in conjunction with PMCC.

@W1NGE I probably wasn't clear enough in that statement. I described a functionality with Timers where the HEMS will improve this, and meant that that particular function is not available on the PMC+. I did not mean to say they don't work together at all. But overload protection might not be the most important feature for most users anyway (IMHO).
