My dealer says they can't release my car because the Porsche Connect is down nation-wide.
They told me the issue was different from another issue where a user can't log in to the server.
The small LED for the emergency assist is red, and it's supposed to be green, the dealer says.

They claim it's nation-wide and also all VW cars (VW, Audi, Porsche) are affected. Not sure it's really that big.
I'm in No-cal.

Was anyone able to get a new 'working' Taycan last weekend?

I am having to drive my car as a “guest” as I can’t login. I picked it up on July 1st. I also have the blinking red SOS light.

Last Monday when I picked up my Taycan, my dealer wouldn't initially release the car because the SOS system was flashing Red. They stated that their insurance policy restricted the sale. I told them that another member of this forum encountered the exact same issue when he picked up his car at another dealer a few days earlier and that it self-resolved within a day or two and turned Green. They reluctantly released the car to me and that's what happened the next day without any input on my part.

I don't know if this is related to the user login issue, but it did take care of itself in short order.

My SOS light was flashing red and I didn’t take it home that day as expected. They called me the next day saying they didn’t have it resolved but asked it I wanted to pick it up and enjoy the car while they sorted it out. Two days later they called and said it was solved remotely- it was. Not sure why they won’t let you take it home. I am sure it is a backend issue they can fix remotely or will get solved as the car is full registered on the system.

They have had this issue since the last week. All Taycans are grounded in the dealership because of this. I guess it's a new bug after the new s/w patch? I don't know... Hopefully the light turns green soon.

Hopefully they get it resolved for you soon. So close but so far!

I just picked mine up after being there since june 17th for a suspension failure (middle of the mountains! Luckily noticed it extremely quickly and pulled over immediately). No such problems here.

I wonder where this is taking us (in the future)?
When "Skynet" is down, everything and everybody will be down?

My car (not yet delivered) is still at the dealership. They told me Porsche NA would release a new s/w patch to address the SOS light problem (the led is always red and blinking) tomorrow. It it's true, hopefully some ppl here with the login trouble may get the patch as well.

Delayed one more week. Now the dealer is saying the patch will come next Wed.
Thanks to this mess, they will pay the first monthly lease (lease will start next week), and provide a loaner meanwhile.

Finally, my dealer said the car was ready. Not sure they applied additional patch or the issue has been resolved by itself. I'll ask more details once the car gets delivered.

Finally, my gentian blue has arrived. The dealership told me they didn't apply additional patch but used the 'bypass' trick Audi e-tron uses, for they're all under VW. I don't know what it is, but it seems there's a solution to connect PC when the SOS light is blinking red.

Thanks to this hassle, the dealer gave some discount and my lease deal got much better, saving me almost $100 per month.
