I’d like to use the Porsche route/charging planner for longer journeys.

However, it automatically chooses some strange & inconvenient charging locations.

How can I set the Porsche route/charge planner with the specific charging points I want to use?

I want the benefit of the charge planner battery pre-conditioning for charging, but I want to choose the charging points I want to use.

Anyone experienced/expert on how to do this? Thanks in advance for advice on how to do this ?

Simple, plan your journey on the app and add preferred charging locations as stopovers. This will also precondition your battery for efficient fast charging (works for DC charging only).

Also look at your preferences and decide which charging provider takes priority as a separate thing.

Add the specific charging locations (which you have found in advance using various tools) as favorites in nav unit. Be sure to add the charger site, not just the location of the site.
Enter your ultimate destination in the nav unit.
Starting with the desired charging location favorite that is closest to your destination, add it as a stopover.
Continue adding the remaining charging sites as stopovers to your route.
Check the route using route overview: PCM home... navigation ... <. . .> route overview.
OR
After adding desired charging stops as favorites, enter the first one as your destination for first leg of trip, and so on, during each subsequent leg of the trip.

Thank you for the swift & well thought through response, Tooney ??

Just to be 100% sure: Will the PCM accept those charge points added as stopovers, as charge points & therefore manage the battery preconditioning function accordingly? If so, that’s the solution I needed! ?

Yes. But you must be sure that you enter the site as a charging location. In USA that means the name of the entry contains something like 350kw, etc., NOT just the address of the location such as WalMart, etc. There will be no preconditioning if the destination is WalMart, instead of the EA charger at Walmart.
For trip planning, I enter the final destination and all of the planned charging sites, and use Route overview to review overall trip.
But usually, when I actually start the trip, I just enter the nearest charging site as my destination, and after charging, enter the next charging site as next destination.
Nice thing about having them all entered as favorites is that when you have finished charging, you can easily look up the next ones from favorites and check to see if you have enough range to skip one.
Edit: Also, here, the availability, chargers total/open status, often is displayed for charging sites in favorites.

If the description contains the EVSE (charger) details then you are good.
