I find that strangely ugly and beautiful at the same time.

My brain doesn't know whether to like it or hate it?
My brain is pretty clear, I like the features of the car shape, I hate the two tone scheme - it's boring and ugly (to me of course) and reminds be of old Caddy's (and recent Lucids). It looks worse that the artsy Taycan, which while not my taste, at least it doesn't seem boring.

I hate the two tone scheme
Seems to be an offering in the super expensive cars as a really pricy option on Maybachs, Rolls Royce, and top BMW and Mercedes models.
How it looks depends on colour choice to my eye, but monochrome paintwork has been in fashion here for quite a while so I am pretty bored by most.

Maybe it's a generational thing - the 2 tone makes a car looks really old to me. Or maybe some things get old. I remember seeing the enamel grey color on cars back in 2019/2020 (I used to call it "J.B.Weld" colors, as they reminded me of the epoxy), I thought it looked nice. Now that every other car has a variation of this enamel pastel grey, it looks dated to me. I parked next to a chalk Taycan last night, I must admit, chalk lost its luster for me. Somehow the monochrome primary colors (white, black, red, green, yellow, blue) seem to be more timeless than other colors which seem to come and go - they've been around for ages, still look elegant (again, to me). Here is the chalk (I think) car from last night.

We didn’t get many 2-tone cars here or Europe that I remember back in the 60s and 70s like I have seen in American films of the period, and still don’t really, just offered on bigger more expensive models.

Colour is a very personal thing.
I like black but got bored with it and it is hard to keep clean, plus I suppose a daft choice for an EV in a sunny country!
Green is my favourite colour with a preference for darker shades, and purple next, so if there is a choice I would normally get one of them.
Green used to be commonly offered in the UK but is pretty unusual now.
I have a Bornite (purple) 1991 Mercedes which is effectively 2-tone since the cladding is a paler shade. I still love it even after 33 years :)

2 tone is generational. That's also why RR now has a white wall tire option now.

I had the Phontom Series 1 when was first released, the Drophead Series 2.
I was in initial conversations with RR about an EV, 6 years before the EX102 and about an SUV which I said was necessary.
It was imperative RR didn't go downstream to lower cost, high volume, larger 7 Series route, which is what the are now.
In places like California or FL, they a dime a dozen. They are what Mercedes was in the 90s, pre Chrysler.
They now focus on volume to the younger Instagram types, shaft them with cheesy options like a dash gallery, then make a few custom, bespoke coach builds for $30m.

Rolls should keep the cars exclusive, low volume, high window. The Phantom should start at $1m base, option up from there.

Spectre is made to take pictures in for social media, hence the Starlight door options now.
