Sport plus mode

It appears to me on my J1.2 that the rear spoiler only deploys in Sport Plus mode.

Without sport chrono there's no real sport plus as drive mode, only sport ... and you can indeed select "sport plus" as chassis-setting (as if sport isn't firm enough LOL)

No clue what else would be different between sport and sport plus ... probably also has sport sound on by default in that mode if you have it.

Track ready - preheating of battery for the track etc which you can't do in Sport Drive mode.

It should deploy at varying speeds when left in auto mode - all part of Porsche Adaptive Aerodynamics (PAA)

Normal Drive Mode:

Stage 1: 56 mph
Stage 2: 99 mph
Stage 3: 124 mph

Range Drive Mode may see deployment at slightly lower speeds.

Sports Plus Drive Mode deploys to Stage 3 around 56mph - 60 mph.

Raised spoiler icon may only appear in Range Drive Mode - can't remember

I only see the spoiler icon when in sport plus mode. So you are saying the spoiler deploys regardless of drive mode?

I don't really like the look of the "deployed" spoiler without sport plus, it looks more misaligned than deployed

Yes it does - part of PAA to maintain aero at various speeds. The level of deployment is low at the lower speeds. Ride height alters too. Same for all Porsches with PAA and a deployable spoiler.

My first Taycan - 4S - from new MY21 had an odd feature that during the winter the spoiler actually bent and didn't sit correctly when stationary. When the weather warmed up it was perfectly aligned. Dealership simply said "yeah, they do that" WTaF!!!

I see. I wonder what the purpose of the icon in the dash is if it only shows deployment when sport plus is engaged.

Does it not show when in Range Mode - I thought it did but I only had J1.1 Taycans and could be wrong? The chassis height is also displayed as double chevron (low).

I drive in range mode when I am cursing on A roads . Car drops to lowest chassis and spoiler deploys at 56mph.

In Normal I think I saw it deploy at 70mph and chassis dropped to low.

In Sports plus, spoiler deployed at 62mph.

I know there are official charts but I am going by what I have observed on myJ1.1
