I was off on vacation. My MY24 SportTurismo stood outside in the cold. Lowest temperature was something like -8 degrees Celsius.
When I got into my car for the first time after my return yesterday morning I noticed a stress crack going diagonally across the side window of the passenger seat.
i tried to capture it in the attached video.
This morning I went to my Porsche Center to have them take a look. So that they can also judge that there was no foreign object etc causing it but that it’s actually a stress crack.
It’s only running through the outer pane. They had never seen anything like it. They only know stress cracks from the panoramic roofs.
their hypothesis is that the clamp holding the window in the door near the sideview mirror was titghtened with too high a torque and together with the thermal stress caused the crack.
Now they have their warranty guy check whether it falls under warranty. Hell yeah, I’d say!!!!
Anybody else had that???
