thanks that’s a good idea. I don’t see chargers listed in the app, maybe it’s different here in Canada?

If you take the risk to dl the tesla app, you will find some super chargers that can be used with CCS ports. There are precious few in the eastern us.

Tesla must retrofit the network to support non Tesla evs.

A couple of points here, Tesla has developed a way for non Tesla’s to use their North American chargers, it’s a retrofit of their charging stands with something they call a magic dock. That is a built in Tesla to CCS1 adaptor. Their network can already support the CCS protocols. In Europe it’s even easier as Tesla’s there use the government required CCS2 connector, just like all EVs there.

As for the 400v issue, that becomes moot with the V4 supercharger, that is a 1000v capable (800v nominal) charger, just like 99% of the current CCS chargers here in NA.

IMHO we are 4 or 5 years away from NA having a vehicle agnostic charging infrastructure so us early adopters will need to stock up on adapters as NACS is, by definition, the “new” American standard. Porsche will probably come out with a retrofit but in typical Porsche fashion it will probably cost thousands.
