SURROUND VIEW PARKING CAMERA FAILURES

Been experiencing intermittent camera /parking /surround failures anyone else had this issue how was it resolved please keen to get sorted during warranty period and whenever I go to the dealer it works!! Need to book a Porsche loan car and book it in for repair.

I had 3-4 times it in my taycan turbo my20. It cleared in my case if car turned off and parked for a few minutes (was not enough to turni it off and back on right away). I have a CT turbo my23 now and never experienced it so far

it does clear after a period of being off then sporadically fails again most frustrating

We had the same issue. Dealer replaced control unit under warranty even though it was not presenting the problem when I dropped off the car. It was ok and then re-appeared a few times and now is fine for some weeks. We'll see. Show the dealer the screen shots he should have to do something then. At least the proximity sensors are independent of the cameras and still work. Good luck.

I had this happen a few months ago but it started working before I could bring it to my dealer. This time it failed so I took a screen shot. It still was not working after turning it on and off over about 8 hours today but maybe it will start working again in the morning. I’ll let everyone know what happens…

I've had this error few time too, it cleared after restart, my stupid dealer couldn't identify anything.

I just checked it after letting it sit for 4 hours and all the cameras worked. I had just sent an email to my service advisor like I did a month or two back but just like the last time the cameras failed they started working again after 4 hours instead of the last failure that cleared overnight.
I doubt this is camera problem or a wiring harness problem. The fact all cameras always work or they all don’t. I expect there is something intermittent in the control module or maybe the PCM.

Check for moisture on each of the cameras. Could be a shorting symptom. I'm guessing of course but not had this issue however aware that others have suffered water ingress which led to a camera issue.

I had my whole wiring system replaced 2 weeks ago. The dealer sent the photo to Porsche UK who recommended new wiring and parts. The car than to back to the dealership once the parts were in and took 2 weeks to complete.
Ps: Mine was intermittent as well but highly recommend you push to be redone.

I had my whole wiring system replaced 2 weeks ago. The dealer sent the photo to Porsche UK who recommended new wiring and parts. The car than to back to the dealership once the parts were in and took 2 weeks to complete.
Ps: Mine was intermittent as well but highly recommend you push to be redone.

check it. Without these cameras you are basically blind to the rear of the vehicle making it very hard to judge once you have relied on the cameras.

I have concerns with long service times such as the replacement of the wiring harness, connectors & cameras which I’m told will take 8 weeks.
I only have 7 months left of free charging at EA and if the loaner they give me does not have the ability to charge for free at EV or if they give me an ICE vehicle as a loaner then I would hope they reimburse me for the charging or fuel costs until I get it back.
I guess I’ll find out on Monday…
I purchased the vehicle so the lease payments don’t come into play but losing short term value with the EA free charging plan that came with the vehicle is real value lost.
