One warning is enough but to answer your question the dash shows more miles remaining than are available in reality, and we don't have many chargers near our home. But when you see that you have 5 miles remaining and are less than half a mile from your home, you'd think you have ample range to make it there.

Teslas have generally been shown to have a substantial buffer beyond “zero” indicated miles, and they begin suggesting charging at least 50 miles before that, so again, I really don’t understand how this could happen.

I got down to turtle mode a couple times. Lowest left range has been 4 miles but knew I would make it home as I was very close to home already.
