OUR other EV is a Genesis GV60 Performance. Instead of Launch Control, it has a “Boost” button on the steering wheel that gives a 10-second 64HP boost. Interestingly, the button be pressed again as soon as the 10-second timer expires. This “feature” drives (ha!) me crazy - just give me all of...
At the risk of offending some members here, our Teslas' throttle response is extremely well-judged and progressive, IMO... I think that has to do with the fact that Tesla is always optimizing for electric drivetrains, because that's all they make, after all...
Porsche (and other legacy mfrs.)...
Reviewers have mentioned the 4S’s soft initial throttle response ever since it was introduced. It certainly seems to be an intentional choice Porsche made in order to maintain performance separation between the 4S and the more expensive trims…
My sister owned an F-Type R and you’re right - it’s...
Bummer about not being able to use your usual method for buying tires, but I’m very surprised that your M.O. had been buying tires at a car dealership in the first place!
I can’t recall ever having purchased tires at a car dealership. I’ve always used local tire stores/Tire Rack and now...
Porsche obviously isn't alone in having mis-read the emerging EV market.
The US manufacturers somehow decided that pickup trucks and huge SUVs were the best vehicles with which to enter the EV market.
I'd have argued that pickups should have been among the LAST EVs brought to market, given...
Yes, I’m aware.
My point was that despite the hype and everyone asking whether my Teslas have had FSD, the vast majority of Teslas don’t have it.
It will be interesting to see whether the subscription-only FSD offering that’s now in effect will move that needle…
That’s actually great to hear, as I couldn’t agree more that SOMETHING needed to happen to Audi design. Virtually every recent design has moved further and further off-track, with the exception of the RS6.
I really like this new design direction, and hope it will usher in a new golden age of...
While I understand your point, the Nuvolari will be a limited-production car selling for 3-4x the price of even the priciest R8, so I’d argue that it’s really the first modern Audi entry into a entirely new class of vehicle.
I like it, even if it isn’t a timeless
beauty like the OG R8…
At least its design is unmistakably an Audi, whereas the Luce could be from any automaker…
All that said, I like this recent Audi concept better...
Add me to the list of people who find the latest version of FSD with HW4 to be incredibly capable, and FAR FAR better than previous versions.
I wouldn’t have (and didn’t) purchase any of the previous versions, but did buy this latest version after a month-long subscription demonstrated its...
The Air's roofline is really low (for better aero - check how low the car is overall next time you see one on the road). This makes entry/exit trickier, and definitely also affects visibility - it's quite restricted.
The other thing is that the infotainment system's upper screen is small and...
One always has to keep in mind that the EA network was built out with a “gun to the head” of the organization, so it’s extremely likely that they just don’t care - why would/should they?
Ionna and MB are “for profit” companies, not just in theory but in fact, so it’s logical that “they’d care”...
