This weekend our 2021 Taycan (we've only had it for a little more than a month) AC started blowing hot air in the afternoon.

It was a hot day (mid-90s). The car worked fine in morning for a quick errand, and then in the afternoon it started blowing hot air.

Monday morning the service center opened, so on the way to have it looked at, the middle screens went black (after a couple minutes they rebooted). The driver screen stayed on - although the individually "instruments" rebooted / showed errors for several seconds.

Unfortunately the dealership techs that are certified to work on the taycan are away on training this week. So they gave me a 2020 Taycan loaner.

The next day was another day in the mid-90s. I had a nice drive in the morning (~40 min in the car). But when I went to drive this afternoon (about 4 hours later) - the AC didn't work. (blowing hot air)

I don't push the AC hard. I set it between 72 and 75.

I see other folks on the channel mentioning o-ring issues / coolant pressure issues. I wonder if the system is exacerbated by being in the heat?

Summary:

- both days I drove the car in the morning
- both days it was the mid-90s
- both times the car was charged > 20% (much above)
- both times it failed around 2 or 3 after sitting around most of a hot day

I've had BMW i3 and Tesla Roadster prior to this - with no issues. But perhaps the O-ring issues are a big issue in the heat?
