Really? AM? You guys are living in the past! :D

Jokes aside... Off course...i can relate...if there is content that is only available on AM that you want to access. But i honestly thought most developed countries had scrapped AM by the 70's! :D
At almost 60, I am the past! Lol. I used to love listening to Rush Limbaugh, but since his death, I haven't listened to AM talk radio.

I've been asked what would make my Taycan better. I can only think of a few things. Here are my thoughts. I'd be interested in yours.
  1. Soft close doors - available on the Panamara, it baffles the mind whey it isn't an option on the Taycan
Porsche advised they won't offer soft close due to additional weight in an already heavy car. If it was available I would've gotten it. Love the feature in the Cayenne GTS.

in a perfect world a perfect car would be as reliable as a toyota with the performance of a porsche
And in a perfect world, race car engines would go thousands of hours instead of tens. Toyotas are dead reliable because they're low performance, simple technology, that push zero boundaries of the driving experience. Porsche's are the exact opposite and will never be as reliable as a mass production appliance.

Another obvious one:
Full launch control power available without doing the silly brake-accelerator-pedal-ceremony.
That made sense with an ICE car. But it totally clumsy with an EV.
Why can't it detect automatically that I am standing still, that the battery and motor are not overheated and just give me full power all the time ?
Very very ridiculous feature.

How would it know how long to preheat it for, without having the context of the charge stop in the route planner?
It could just go to 30 degrees asap and stop heating. Pressing it again could make it go to 30 again.
You could activated it at home before you go on a winter road trip. To make sure the battery is warm before you leave.
Or you could activate it 30min before arriving at a non-tesla fast charger that is not in the system.

I agree with everything except the battery preheating. I've never had a problem - even in the winter. Porsche has been pretty good about battery function and expected range - and getting your car warmed up quickly in the winter.
It can preheat the car. But it does not preheat the battery. If you could also preheat the battery to for example 30-35 degrees celcius, you would definitely get more range in winter.

What's another 100 lbs or so on a car over 5k? lol

Don't know what improvement number we are up to, but ..
Some driver display positives from my Panamera that should be applied to the Taycan:
1) It would be less distracting if you could roll through each tube selection on the driver's display, rather than roll through a list of displays and then select one. This requires the driver to have to look down and pick a display.
2) Add resetable trip mileage meter alongside total mileage. You have to dedicate a tube or center display to trip. I just want to know how many miles I have gone and how many I have left.

For me some form of sport response button, so I could have my 2.5 seconds of extra power any time I wanted it. Or maybe just any time I mashed the throttle
Guessing you do not have the Sport Chrono. Spin the wheel and you have your custom sport settings.

9. Why am I limited to putting certain information on certain dash circles? For example, why can't I show PDCC and G-force at the same time on the left and right circles?
I agree here.
In addition, put all of the battery related performance information in one screen: current state of charge, miles driven since last charge, instantaneous battery consumption, average battery consumption (maybe over the last 30 miles), miles to empty.

Yes, I have chrono but it doesn't deliver the extra power on demand that I was referring to. Now if sports plus could be set up to add the 2.5 seconds whenever I mashed the throttle that would be ideal.

AND I wish my "cherry metallic" color was more cherry than burgundy! You get the cherry in the sunlight, but in the clouds - it's old-school burgundy. :)

Yes I warned people about this. It’s very similar to “Arena Red” which I saw photos in sunlight and mistakenly got a PTS turbo S in. I was very disappointed in the color in everything but bright sunlight. Personally I didn’t Like having a “purple”. car and sold it a few months later for a white one. I bet if Porsche renamed the color “purple red metallic” no one would buy them. Lol

What extra power are you asking for? The Launch Control?
