The Case For The GTS

Yeah let’s see what they come up with, if indeed it is a 30kW jump over the 4S then we are looking at the following matrix:

4S+ - 360kW - 0-60 in 3.8 seconds
GTS - 390kW - 0-60 in 3.5 seconds (guessing!)
Turbo - 460kW - 0-60 in 3.0 seconds

Note the quoted 0-60s are with over boost…and the GTS is my guess on where it will be…maybe 3.4 seconds to split in the middle with some weight savings!

And if Rwd a beefed up turbo rear motor = lighter car w/ really special performance specs.

Having seen the Cross Turismo and knowing that the Sport Turismo is coming out in GTS format I am now thinking that may be the one to go for. Regardless super stoked for a GTS model…let the countdown begin!

I presume it will have all the driving performance goodies…like Rear Axle Steering, PTV+ and Electric sound as standard.

What sort of price are we guessing here? I’ll go in at 99K (GBP)

Well the standard battery is called the performance battery. Never cared for the Plus

To be honest I am not sure, the 4S I test drove seemed to have a lot of goodies like HUD…but annoyingly the Porsche rep who went out with me on the test drive didn’t have a clue of what was specked in the car.

In fact he knew so little he swore down that launch control is only possible when you have the sports chrono option…I had to school him that he was talking crap.

Needless to say I am ordering from a different dealer who says I am number 1 on the GTS list ?

Bravo. No excuse for reps to not be on their game. Next time sign to take the car out alone so you get a true sense of the its character without the added weight.

Saw this on rennlist under the GT4RS/spyder RS thread

cropped unfortunately but the line above must be the GTS. You can just see the bottom of the T and S. First column is configuration, 2nd is production date. Saloon only but does mention sports turismo so more proof on that too….

This fits in exactly with what my Porsche dealer informed me off. Saloon only and mid November for when it’s live on the configuration. Only two months to go…been a long wait after putting my deposit down 5 months ago, but sure it’s going to be worth it!
