Some good summaries above. We went last Friday. Arrived at 10.15 for Brunch and then scent making which was rather better than I thought. House and car stink of Lemongrass now! Very helpful people there. Managed a 45 minute drive in a Taycan Turbo S and I have to say 'why bother' spending £50k more than a 4S? It didn't feel significantly quicker. Same seats and wheels as mine, and I really wonder if Porsche are taking the mick charging so much for the Turbo S over a 4S. We went to the House nearby but as now 2pm and a drive back on a Friday afternoon hunting an EV fast charger decided we would not stay. Well done to Porsche on putting on the event, met some interesting people and had a bit of fun too.

I agree. I felt the ride in the Turbo was grippier on the Normal setting. I do not know if it is because I do not have PTV on my 4S, or whether that makes any difference, or whether it is just in the mind. I did a 100-mile round trip in my 4S on the same day, so I like to think I could compare the ride in both. I did not launch the Turbo and was not thrashing it either, since it seemed wrong to do that given we were not on a track (and pretty hard given the route we took). I also have the electric sound option in my 4S so the sound of the Turbo did not really impact on my perception of the power and handling.

Is the Turbo/TS worth £50k more than a 4S? Not to me, but I know the Turbo and TS come with more 'essential' options as standard. I think the overall price difference was probably much lower than £50k when I factor in the extras which took my 4S to close to £110k back in 2021. I think the 'real' difference was probably £20/25k. That is still a bit high for me but I guess it comes down to preference and budget.

I drive the turbo s CT on the day but went to the event having driven my GTS. I too agree the extra price point didn’t feel worth it to me given my car felt as planted on the road as the turbo s I was driving.
Made me think I don’t need the extra power for real life uk road driving and tbh even the CT4 that we have is enough otherwise it will be visit to driver awareness course or worse!
