Upping this thread.

I have come to re-enable the Active Ride comfort entry, and i find it strangely inconsistent.
Often, it reacts immediately (door barely open).
Sometimes, it reacts with a delay.
But sometimes, on egress, it does not react at all and the car stays on the low setting.

I have also experienced occasional temporary disconnections from Android Auto, both wired and wireless. The app becomes unavailable, icon greyed out. These are darn difficult to isolate.
Car ? Phone ? Environment ?
There are mighty external perturbators, some powerful enough to repeatably disrupt the 2.4GHz link between my phone and my earbuds.

Are you plugged in to charge at the time? I have found that Active Ride’s leap up is disabled if a cable is plugged in — probably a sensible safety choice.

You are correct, Active Ride comfort entry is disabled when plugged, but it is not what i am sometimes observing: Comfort entry (steering wheel & seat) is triggered, but nothing happens when i open the door.

I rarely use the active ride comfort entry, when I did it worked and reacted just fine.

I daily drive mine and active ride comfort entry works pretty much every single time. The times I've noticed it not work is when I've been away for a long weekend and the car entered some kind of extended sleep mode. In these cases the door handles were slow to come out also.

What SoC do you leave the car at typically? I stay in the 50-80% range always, but maybe lower charge states it doesn't come on?

I think i solved my little problem.
Beside having a charging cable connected, another condition inhibits active ride comfort entry: opening the frunk from the center console display.

Ignition off => open the door => comfort entry triggered => open the frunk, no problemo.
But
Ignition off => open the frunk => open the door => no active ride comfort entry

After your previous post, I started following more closely on when comfort entry was activating.
What you said about the frunk is also true for the trunk -- it will not come on if the rear trunk is already open when a door is opened.
I think this is all by-design. If you were lifting a box into/out of the car, you wouldn't want to have the car be a moving target.

So i have had to change my own poll response since this morning. Active Ride failure.

Since getting brand new J1.2 base model in June 2024 (16 month ownership) I have been to Porsche warranty service 15 times and theres no end in sight. Its mostly interior build quality, which has not changed since J1.1. The list is as follows:

Still unresolved issues:
1) Since day one there has been a rattling sound from passanger front door, as well as squeeck/distortion from passenger side speakers when both listening to loud music or talking through phone at normal volume. The door card has been soundproofed at least 5 times and the front three passenger side speakers (BOSE - 2 door and 1 dash) have been changed. Both problems still present. Right now I am waiting on a new door card since February, with no ETA - this is supposedly going to fix both problems.
2) Front passenger seat is squeeking quite loudly only when my wife is sitting in it (or any other person around 50kg/110lbs weight.) A nightmare to prove this issue to Porsche dealer, no matter how many videos provided to them. Going to be adresed at the next warranty service next week.
3) 3 of the 4 roof grab handles make a loud clicking sound when pulled. I was told that this is not fixable, as it is the way they are made.
4) There is a wind noise coming from below the steering wheel. I think its something to do with the climate control, as when its turned off, the noise stops. Going to be adresed at the next warranty service next week.
5) squeecking passenger side door pillar panel. Dealer doesnt even acknowledge it because of all the other squeeks/rattles.
6) something squeeking/rattling in the passenger side rear seat, maybe even the panel above the trunk (dont know how its called). Might be the front seat, but hard to tell. Dealer doesnt even acknowledge it because of all the other squeeks/rattles.

Its quite weird that all the rattling problems seem to be on the right side of the car. If it wasnt new, I would think that side might have been crashed.

Resolved issues:
7) lagging/unresponsive climate screen. This was changed and is OK now.
8) rattling sound from the rear view mirror housing/attachment to the glass. They reapplied glue/sealant and is OK now.

Drivetrain and battery wise everything is 100%, car drives beautifully, just cannot enjoy it in silence

Car is with OPC, they've not seen this before on the j1.2

1) J1.2 is now up to 18 months old.
Has anyone scanned their SoH, and if so what are the values and at what mileage?

2) Weather excepted, has anyone noticed any decrease in their usual J1.2 estimated range?
If so, from what mileage?

3) For the j1.2 plus battery, what are UK owners seeing as typical ranges
-for city/urban driving in winter
-for motorway driving in winter?

There is no way to measure J1.2 SOH (yet) as far as i know.
