The Taycan vs. Surfboards

Any Taycan owners out there who also surf?

I'm looking to replace my Model S with a Taycan but the one thing the Model S wins on is interior storage. I can easily just chuck my 7'3" or 8' boards inside with no problems currently... would that still be doable?

LOVE the Cross Turismo but they're too pricey at the moment

I regularly ride a 6'4" but have put a 7'4" and an 8 footer in my Turismo. never mind the sand. It's my dog.. he doesn't know to wipe his feet. I have factory racks.. but my boards ride inside.

Yep, can attest to fitting 8' boards inside the Taycan CT. They might change the temp on a sudden braking event. So far I've carried 2x4 boards, 2x6 and even a 4x4 once.

The Jeep is my Home Depot ride.. but one time.. I had to pick up a couple of 2x4.. and the looks from the parking lot peanut gallery was priceless.

Hi, how do people react to you showing up to the beach in a Porsche? This would be my dream surf car but I would get a massive ration of you know what from the locals north of SF where I surf. ?

I’ve been to a couple of dealers to check out the Cross Turismo and they look at me like I’m crazy and have no idea how to do it.

I’ve been to a couple of dealers to check out the Cross Turismo and they look at me like I’m crazy and have no idea how to do it.

How do you lock it when you go out?

I use a master lockbox realtor style key box, and I attach it to the front wheel of my wagon. The smaller lock box does not fit the key fob .. this larger one is perfect. The metal box blocks the signal completely, and you dont need a faraday baggie. I attached a piece of stick on felt to the back of the lock to prevent scratching my precious wheel.
