UK delivery production delays

Interesting my 4S CT is scheduled into body shop 11/06 and vehicle completion 18/06. Also West London Audi
But haven’t heard anything new, last update was May 19th.

You do mean factory build complete was expected 18/06? Or expect to receive vehicle for 18/06?!

Which dealer did you use? Sounds like you had a really early build slot..lucky you!

I put down a deposit the same week as you, but was told I was the 5th I think.
I have a feeling they had 5-6 slots for June build , so it sounds like we are in the same boat.
I’ll email my sales rep.

"Whereas my last email regarding your new car was projecting a factory completion date of circa mid June, I'm afraid we are now being warned of possible production delays across all models due to a worldwide motor industry shortage of micro processors / semi conductors. You may well have read in the news about these shortages and the possible impact it may have on all kinds of industries. Currently your Taycan is now showing a factory completion date of third week of June so I would now project an early July estimated collection date for you"

My RWD sat at the port for exactly 4 weeks! Even got MD of Porsche UK involved as it was unacceptable delay & even they could not do anything as in the mercy of port which I found perplexing!

According to my sales agent, my RWD went into build May 17, and completed build earlier this week. It's going through final quality checks and then onto shipping. June 18 is still the delivery date if all goes well.

Mine was est complete 11th, now pushed to 21st. They are adding a week at a time, I wonder if it's not just to keep my email responses reasonably free of expletives!!

As you will see, your new Taycan has dropped back a couple of weeks and now planned to land at our centre on 23rd July.

With continued uncertainty on a delivery date (8 months and still waiting) and no spare car, plus the risk of eventually taking delivery just a short time before the new model year, I've given up, cancelled my order, and hopped into a used 911 C2 S for the immediate future. Gutted, as the Taycan driving experience is so special and unique, but looking forward to some special 911 time and to re-ordering in due course when supplies settle and my need for an additional set of wheels is not so time sensitive.

Thanks all for your input on this and other threads. Really good forum and refreshingly empty of narcissistic numpties.

Sales rep confirmed car is now showing finish build As July 1st ???
Was hoping to collect before Silverstone, guess that won’t be happening .

Hey, have you had confirmation your car is now complete?

Mine was supposed to complete 30/06, phoned to find out what the situation is as had not received any update- and turns out the sales guy I was dealing with has left!
All very strange as I had emailed him the previous day, he said he would check in the AM and then I find out he’s left the business the following day.

Still waiting for whoever is picking up his business to get in touch…

Updated this morning on Turbo order. April order. Original July 16 build pushed to August 23. Delivery delayed from Aug 13 to Oct 3. To make me feel better the salesperson told me 300 Porsche GB Taycan orders were outright cancelled.

Wow ! I have an order for the Turbo in the system, no news for a while... Ordered in April, was told build date was 9th July, really for collection late July, early Aug. I will check in with my dealer (Dicklovett, Bristol).
