Hi to the collective, i have a question about the Vodafone Tracker fitted at UK Porsche dealers. I had mine fitted before collecting the car on Tuesday. The Porsche app works great and I can set geofences and receive alerts if the car leaves or enters. Vodafone say they cannot see the tracker, it shows no location on their app and I get no notifications if I try to start the car without the Vodafone fob. , So Vodafone say it has to go back to a Porsche dealer. I was under the impression that the Porsche app functionality like geofencing didn’t work unless the Vodafone tracker is fitted. If this is the case, then it seems to be working on some level But not full functionality. Basically, I’ve had an expensive nightmare installed! Can anyone confirm if the Porsche app does indeed use data or interface from the Vodafone tracker please?

When you say “fitted,” it sounds like a third-party device. The Taycan has a built-in tracker, which is around £260 per year, paid through the Porsche Connect website. I’m not sure whether it shows anything additional in the app as I don't have this. You get 2 fobs that you carry around with you.

What you’ve configured sounds like a Porsche Connect service, specifically the geofencing alerts via app.
