I pressed the voice command button for the first time (in 2 yrs) and asked it to make a phone call. It gave some random and unrelated answer and that was that. It rather underlines my experience on other cars over the years.

Does anyone actually use it / find it useful? If so what are the worthwhile operations it can do?

No, this feature is terrible. It doesn’t have to be terrible, but in this case it is. Another example of terrible software implementation from Porsche.

I love so many things about my car but this feature sucks.

Generally concur with Hirschaj. Pretty useless. Slow, gets things wrong a lot.

If it could activate Siri through CarPlay, I would use it.

I use voice commands frequently to set destinations in the nav unit. Works well most of the time.
(Maybe you need to configure voice settings to language = London English.)

Supposedly it can "learn" your voice. Maybe try it a bit more and see.

When I say "take me to 123 street, city, state" (for non local address) it works most of the time.
There is a grocery chain here named Meijer.
Porsche voice won't find it if it is pronounced correctly: MY ERR
Porsche voice will find it if I pronounce it MY JER.

But having to mispronounce is the exception.

You can say its cold and then heating will torque up.

Here's a few that work nicely:
"Take me home" - If you have your home address saved under home. If you want to stop directions, "Stop route guidance"
"Massage the driver (or passenger)" - I'm curious what it would do if you don't have massage.
"Ambient lighting Red (or whatever)" and "Ambient lighting brighter or (dimmer)" You probably won't use this one often, but easy to play with the colors, without having to find the feature in the menus.
"I'm cold (hot)" - It will move the temp up/down 2 degrees F

Before I visited UK earlier this year, I checked internet for pronunciation of Chippenham, a destination.
I'm glad I did, because it is not pronounced like it's spelled.
I bet Porsche voice assistant doesn't know how it's pronounced, either.
