Just deciding whether to keep the CT4 long(er) term, and curious what are your (average) annuzalized or total running costs so far?
Meaning everytthing to sustain the car in good shape, make all the regular dealer service intervals, change tyres, any additional years of bought warranty, etc

So far I've budgeted below, but maybe I'm off by a mile or under/over estimating some items

- Full insurance, here in NL all risk currently coming in at ~€1500 per annum
- Budgeted 1 tyre change for the 5Y span total, so ~2.5 years with each set of tyres. I'm on the 20" 255 & 285 rear. So approx ~€1000 total (effective €200 per year)
- Service visits, I assume it's after 2 years, then yearly? So year 3, 4, 5 essentially of ownership, (€595 x 3 )/ 5 = €357 per year average
- Extra warranty - 3 years bundle (on top of standard 2 years included): €4191 / 5y effective = €838 per year average
- Charging costs, with my mileage it comes down to about €110 per month, or €1320 per year.

So total per effective per annum: €4215 (€351 per month), provided the car is fully owned of course.
Assumption: all faults & replacements performed etiher out of extended warranty or under base service charges, except for tyre change. I am not accounting for minor items like washer fluids & car wash etc

I can be quite accurate on some of this.

I have had my car two years this week (16k miles) and apart from the standard insurance and charging (which you already know), the car has cost nil till this week - ignoring kerbed alloys!

It also has another year (in the UK) before the extended warranty is needed (about £1k pa) and connected drive subscription (£?).

*So this week it had it's 1st service. Cost £470. Due every 2 years or 20k miles.

*Rear tyres (20" Michelin PS4) were worn and replaced. Cost £550.

*The fronts need replacing soon. c£450.

So going forward, on my mileage, I am budgetting £1.5k for maintenance every 2 years.

Plus after 3 years, any cost for extended warranty and connected drive - estimating about £100pm.

YMMV, I am getting 20k miles per set of tires which for me is working out to a set per year. I am also budgeting 1k deductible for windshield per year as the rock chips and cracks seem unavoidable in the winter. My car is seeing a lot of usage though as my daily and weekend ski trip transport. Track day tires, wheels, brakes and fluid is a whole other expense.

20K miles seems reasonable, that’s 32K km and I drive 15K km per year only, hence the ratio seems in proportion. Have you guys seen the new EV specific performance tyres from Hankook? The ION Ventus Evo S. supposedly A rated for sound, consumption and even rain

great that’s essentially very close to my calculations; almost 0 cost first 2-3 years then higher costs, but on average it’s very reasonable over 5 year span.
What’s the ballpark figure for insurances in the UK?

Conincidentally my insurance also renews this week!

It obviously varies hugely for individuals depending on numerous personal factors - but mine has renewed at £820 pa.

I'm paying 1300 euro's for allrisk per year. My maintenance is covered for the first 3 years or 90.000km by PON. Same for warranty, 2 year standard (coming up on one year ownership), but got some credit from PON due to the delays I faced in 2022 with my car, which allowed me to extend the warranty for 2 extra years, free of charge.

Service visits are 2 yearly or every 30k km.

Do you think you need the extended warranty when you have nine year battery warranty? Technically there should be little to go wrong and software updates should be picked up at a service? Thoughts. Mine is coming up to 3yrs and I'm in a dilemma as to whether to extend the warranty?

So far, zero dollars other than some home electricity. Will need two year service soon. Rear tires probably mid next year.

I am definitely going to extend the warranty on mine.

Firstly, Taycans are very technical and all repairs seem to cost a fortune.

Secondly, I did it on my last car (M2) - and it really helped when I sold it (cost was similar to Taycan warranty).
I had a couple of dealers outbidding each other for it.
The one who bought it said he knew the car would be fine, as if anything was wrong, I would have got it fixed under the extended warranty.

Sometimes they are transferable as well, which means if he found anything he could get it fixed.

So in that case, it paid for itself.
