Has anyone had a wheel alignment + adjustment done on their Taycan with air suspension at an independent shop?
Hi everyone,
I’m considering having a full wheel alignment (including adjustments) done on my Taycan Turbo (MY 2021 - 45.000 km) with air suspension at an independent (non-Porsche) workshop. Before I decide, I wanted to check if anyone here has experience with this.
The reason for my question: the inner edge of one of my front tires is wearing significantly faster and more unevenly than the rest of the tread. I’m aware that this can happen on the Taycan, especially when driving predominantly in the “Low” suspension setting — which I use about 99% of the time. Still, I’d like to get your opinions and hear about your personal experiences.
If you’ve had alignment work done outside a Porsche Center:
• Were they able to properly handle the Taycan’s air suspension setup?
• Did they have the required tools/software to configure or recalibrate the assistance systems afterward?
• Did you notice any issues afterward with steering, suspension behavior, or system warnings?
• And generally — did it help with uneven tire wear?
Porsche claims that certain assistance systems need to be reconfigured after suspension-related adjustments, so I’m trying to understand whether an independent shop can reliably take care of this.
Looking forward to your insights — thanks!
