Are CA car dealerships open on New Year's Eve? It might matter now!

Looks like we should be able to get deliveries next Wed-Friday for LA area cars. Asteria Leader is entering the U.S. now and will hit Hueneme early evening. About 200 miles to go. Doesn’t really matter what time it arrives tonight as nothing will take place the rest of today. I’m presuming with a 5:00 AM Monday arrival in San Diego the Cars with no issues can leave Tuesday-Thursday and hit the local Dealers the same day. Obviously the Dealers need a day or so for prep but they can issue an invoice that confirms delivery before Jan 1. This of course presumes no problems. It’s pretty amazing that the Ship has not had to make any stops since the Uk.

My Dealer (Porsche Carlsbad) is open from 10 AM - 6 PM on NYE, so I may have a chance to get it locked in next week, assuming, as you said, no problems on arrival.

So here is the irony of ironies....I bought from the dealer in Riverside CA b/c they were the only one offering me a 2% discount from invoice. Now I am on pins and needles hoping these deliveries make it that far east before NYE. Will I get 2% off but lose $7500 in the process? Damn.

From what I understand however, it is not a foregone conclusion the tax credit will end this year. I can dream can't i?

sorry to burst your bubble. But that tax credit will most likely end. Even if they don't pass by EOY or anytime soon. They will pass in 2022. Once it's passed, it'll be retro active to Jan 2022. So we're likely never to see that $7500 if we don't take delivery by end of year.

The Ship arrived 8 hours late and will not leave tonight for San Diego before 12-3AM. This means the Ship will arrive Monday afternoon not Monday morning. We still have Tues-Thur to get through the Port processing and deliver the Cars by Wed-Friday but it’s getting close.

The Glovis Supreme is due in San Diego tomorrow as well. I hope there’s room and staff to unload both! The Glovis moves up to Benicia after San Diego.

Good news-Looks like the Asteria Leader left after 9:00PM close to original schedule and will hit San Diego at estimated 6:30AM. Now let’s just hope there are no issues at the next Port and Cars start rolling out to the Dealers Mon/Tues.

Same but I hope not ! What's your dealer ? Mines Porsche Santa Clarita . I already have wheels, tires, lowering links , carbon wing and clear markers waiting there to be installed .
