Sexy.

I got chalk with red interior as well. I went for CT though so slightly different. That is so HOT! I just asked my SA to go check the truck really quick for mine lol.
I’m really interested in seeing a CT in person. I think I may get one for my wife.

Just read this from another thread. See here.
I think that is an example of a Stop Sale. My dealer said he had cars on his lot he could not sell until Porsche sent some parts so he could install them. Sounds like there might be some parts that can only be installed by the workshop at the port.

Hmmm, I've never seen it in any advertised price, but I expected it. I don't think I've ever bought a car anywhere that didn't have a made up line item like that.
Look at the Florida dealer's web sites.. it's at he the bottom, typically!

When negotiating always deal on the "out the door" price.. " aka.. I will give you $120,000 for the car out the door including any and all fees. You can sell me the car for $1 and charge me a $199,999 processing fee, " You just have to now the way tax is charged, required government fees etc.

Makes sense.
Who does the quality checks at the ports? It seems like it takes very vehicle specific expertise?
It might not be the result of an inspection at the port. Porsche Germany might have shipped the boat thinking they could airfreight the remaining parts later and they would get to the port before the boat.

There was an article in the WSJ about how all the car manufacturers are shipping cars that can't be sold until some regional or dealer locations adds missing parts to them.

If there was a stop sale issue, wouldn't the SA be aware? I thought you could look that up.
I think you're right. From what I've read, you would literally see "Stop Sale" in that screen. Quality issue is more minor and the car is likely to move along faster.

Recently, I see contributions from some new folks. Thanks for joining in the convo. Can you let us know if you got your cars from Siem Aristotle (Jax) yet?

I 100% believe that Porsche knows the exact status of every car even before it hits the dock.

I also believe that the systems the dealer uses to check on cars does not give them access to all the data that Porsche NA has access to. Probably because Porsche wants to be careful about what data they expose outside of the company (dealers are outside the Porsche company). For financial and competitive reasons.

For example my publisher gives me very little useful, realtime data about how well my video courses are doing. It's because if they did they would be exposing financial or other information which they can't expose unless they sent it to Bloomberg or something like that to make sure the public knew it too. As a result I am clueless as to how much in royalties I'm going to get until about a month after the month ends.

In any case my dealer told me that they don't for sure know the status of the car until it arrives.

Curious why everyone schedules their PPF so quickly. I would want to drive and enjoy car for at least a week or so before I give it back to a shop.

Is there a reason to do it immediately?
After waiting for 4 months, what is 4 more days of wait!
Early afternoon check. Any other cars got to the dealership? If so, which state/city?
Hennesey texted saying the car is still at the port. Looking like next week now.

Sucks. My TYD is showing 1/14 for delivery. I was just being hopeful.
