Can you charge at 19.2kW on both charging ports or is there a specific side that supports it?

Both sides support the same AC charging, so yes. 19.2 on both sides.

DC is only on the passenger side.

Do you happen to know if it's absolutely necessary to have a cable conduit for access, even if I plan to charge at a lower capacity? (eg. charge at 40 amps).

What I'm really getting at is, is it possible mount the Wall Charger without any cables sticking out from the top or bottom - like how it's advertised?

The installation manual does seem to require cutting through the sides so I don't know how the above chargers are installed - unless it's just a misleading example? My dealer doesn't have any ideas about this, but I'd love to have that clean look if possible. I know you can do this with the PMCC + Charging Dock (has opening in the back to accommodate the outlet), but the PWCC seems to be a much cheaper EVSE with more future-proofing.

First off, great profile name…
Yes, you can have a clean install look with the power supply cable (outlet) hidden behind the actual cabinet on the wall. See a pic of my PWCC below.
The PWCC is Porsche’s newest and fastest EVSE at 80amp. (80A x 240V = 19.2kW max). According to US electrical code, an appliance utilizing >40 amps must be hardwired, which your electrician can do. That’s why this newest unit, unlike the prior versions, must be hardwired. My PWCC is located on drywall, so it was easy to run the wiring through the wall and exit right behind the cabinet.

That’s exactly what I was hoping to hear. Thanks for sharing!

I asked Porsche about this when planning my install and was told that it is technically possible, but to ensure that the unit remained watertight. I suppose that is to mitigate exposure to a household leak or stray water in the garage. You don’t want insects setting up camp in there either. Your installer can use the supplied sealing compound or some alternative to seal the point of entry.

I suggest you check to see if you have foam or fiber insulation in your wall cavity where you plan to mount the unit. If you have sprayed foam insulation it will be more difficult to pull the cable and you might find your electrician wants to change the plan on the fly.

In my case, because of the distance to the main panel, awkward access to the wall cavity, and the hefty 80A draw, I went with the external conduit so that a disconnect switch could be included. There was some debate as to whether code required the disconnect, but given the other factors I just went with it.

I agree that avoiding the external conduit is a much cleaner look. Good luck with the install!

What a beautiful set up!

Do you find overheating to be an issue with the unit enclosed in the (gorgeous) box?

In my case it hasn’t been an issue, but I only began using mine in the colder months (since November, North Eastern USA). Since it’s a fully integrated design (more so than the PMCC in a pedestal / enclosure) I would hope they got the thermals right.

Hello, I'm new here
I recently ordered my 4S and I had a question to which I did not receive an answer from the dealer. I added 22kW to my package, but I only have 15kw free at home. Will the device automatically switch to a lower charge, or can I switch the charge to a lower one myself?

Yes, the electrician can set the max. available current via a rotary switch during Installation.

Thanks for the answer.
Is this rotary switch in the charger or does it have to be purchased separately?
I only now see that you are located in Russia. The Porsche Wall Charger PWCC is only available in the US. In Russia and the rest of Europe there is only the Porsche Mobile Charger available. This can be throttled to 11kw by using the touch screen. But it is a mobile device anyhow and you have to have a matching wall socket to connect it. It always comes with cable and plug.

That manual seems to be for the Porsche Mobile Charger Connect (PMCC) - the optional upgraded charger that you can spec on the Taycan configurator with a separate charging dock.

The Porsche Wall Charger Connect (PWCC) is a different unit that can be purchased from here. It seems to integrate the charger with the dock (so it's non-separable, unlike the PMCC). The PWCC has a different installation manual that I've attached here.
