that would be redundant and really is not needed. I live in FLA and the car with the pano roof is no hotter than a steel roofed car.Can you tint the sunroof with a clear UV tint?
Yep I am in Hawaii and sun all day..no problem keeping the car cool. I did get the inside tinted with 35% ceramic tint but the roof is fine. In the advent I needed it done could add a ceramic tint double film to block the heat like I did for my moonroof on my 991.1 when I lived in Phoenix, AZ. There that saved me during those 130 degree days!that would be redundant and really is not needed. I live in FLA and the car with the pano roof is no hotter than a steel roofed car.
Though we do seem to get a couple of fewking hot weeks each year now though, not enough to justify household aircon etc but certainly unpleasant without. I found my iPace with pano roof a very pleasant place to be in those times. No issue from that panoramic so was happy to option the pano in the Taycan. Had the peltier cooled seats which were great for those few weeks too, cost me an upgrade to vented with excuse for massage on the Taycan…but do intend to do some trips to Portugal to see parents.Sorry, can’t help you. I live in England. ?
As I have mentioned before, tint makes ALL the difference. Especially in Florida/sunny areas. A must have.Okay 1 month down. Still no heat related issues. Got tint also ceramic double layer 35% Pinnacle all around. Helps a lot and not much hotter than my prior Audi RS5 Sportback with panoramic roof also. Currently in tropical paradise of Hawaii...no issues.
Yeah - I really didn't want it, but no choice with the Cross Turismo.I would NOT do the panoramic roof again if I ever bought another Taycan
That’s just not true and I proved it at my local dealer sitting in both on a sunny 80 degree day. I put my hand up near the roof of both and I could feel the heat radiating off the roof in the pano car and nothing in the steel car. I don’t think it’s enough necessarily to not get it, but it sure as heck radiates some heat that you don’t get in a fixed roof car.that would be redundant and really is not needed. I live in FLA and the car with the pano roof is no hotter than a steel roofed car.
interesting remark because I am also in Florida and have driven teslas and the taycan for almost ten years now and have never had any issues with excessive interior heat related to the pano roofs in either car.As I have mentioned before, tint makes ALL the difference. Especially in Florida/sunny areas. A must have.
I meant tint for other glass - not the pano roof. I am happy with OE pano tintinteresting remark because I am also in Florida and have driven teslas and the taycan for almost ten years now and have never had any issues with excessive interior heat related to the pano roofs in either car.
if it makes you feel good to have the pano roof tinted, that's great, but a must have? not for me, I'm happy with the tinting from the factory.
