For me it would be GTS. Plenty of power, GTS package & suspension tuning, lower $ than turbo. (provided one takes it easy clicking options)

If money is not a concern it would be Turbo for me without a shadow of doubt. Performance difference between 4S and GTS is minimal where as with Turbo it’s a more significant jump up. In addition for me personally some of the standard items on GTS like sport design package, sports sound, blacked out headlights/light strip are not some thing I would tick on my options list. Turbo no question at all.

Heh, was thinking about that same thing yesterday. Having 4s now, I would be more inclined towards turbo, as more power is always better than less. I would not consider Taycan a good fit for track anyway, so having more sporty suspension is simply unnecessary, whereas more power can be enjoyed daily ?

One thing the GTS has the Turbo does not: the new variable-opacity roof. I love that thing. Not available on the Turbo, at least not now :(

With my ridiculous number of options, there's "only" a $10k difference between the two cars. Wondering if anyone can speak to how pronounced the power difference would be.

Note: I rented a base-level Taycan a few weeks ago and nearly got into trouble just driving that with the speed cams

I waited for the GTS primarily because i cannot drive an EV called "Turbo". If you go with the Turbo, I'd recommend adding the sport front fascia. Your GTS render looks a lot cooler from the front than the Turbo currently.

If you absolutely require fast 0-60 times - get the turbo. BTW, greetings neighbor! :fist bump:

From trying a 4S demonstrator a few times, I concluded that it has more than enough power for me 99% of the time. But then I started to think that, if I'm going to be spending all that money on a performance EV, I should bite the bullet and go for the Turbo for that extra 1%. I assume that, power-wise, the GTS will feel half way between the 4S and Turbo. Both the GTS and Turbos are sub-brands of Porsche model, and both have their perceived strengths/USPs. In the case of the Taycan, being an EV and being so configurable that a base can be specced to nearly match higher trims, the GTS in particular has a bit less (non-cosmetic) unique GTS-ness than would an ICE model GTS. And the mechanical authenticity of the Turbo name on an EV isn't a big deal when for example most Cayenne's have a turbo but most don't have it in their name.

If price difference isn’t a factor to you I’d say turbo. More exclusive, more power, a bit more GT oriented.
I might have said GTS on something like the Cayenne because it does put a sporty twist on a non sporty car, but on a Taycan, to me, Turbo is above (but also much more expensive!).
All super subjective of course!

I’m in a similar quandry but between 4S and Turbo (due to crazy lead times on GTS) for me on a company car scheme the gross monthly difference is £200 per month but yet there’s a £20k price difference in vehicles - therefore it’s a no brainier!

Lovely colour and spec on both cars. What are your roads like? Although I like the idea of the variable pano roof I would go turbo as I think would be (a) smoother ride (b) more powerful (c) to be honest I do not even notice my pano roof when sitting in the car so not sure I would actually notice the variable element after a few weeks of playing with it - but might be different in Florida?. Personally not a fan of yellow brake calipers and would suggest white for the sport chrono clock, but totally up to you!

What lead times have you been quoted for the 4S/Turbo vs GTS?
