Do you think they improved the camera since your model year?
No, not from what I see each newbie complaining about on FB forums.
For me the surround view in the Panamera was brilliant as you can easily see the wheel and the curb, in the Taycan you dont, I think because the mirror cameras point away from the car instead of straight down.

Reversing can look a bit bizarre, fortunately I do not use my garage as for sure the camera would be next to useless reversing into it. It is good for me reversing out from my drive (which is blind) as I can easily see if any cars/[people are coming from either side though.

Edit -
It definitely wouldn't stop me buying a Taycan and would still have surround view as its better with than without - especially for parking upto curbs or parking curb/guide things you have in US. A number of people have ripped the front lip underneath when reversing "off" the curb they parked over.

Its the best car I have ever had.

I'd go with the Sport Design Package, and at the very least the sport design front fascia. They're minor cosmetic changes but they just do so much to improve the look. Those narrow tear drop slits under the headlights never sat right with me.
My wife said the standard front looks likes it’s sad/crying which is why we have the sport design front. I think the sport design front looks slightly better, but don’t personally dislike the standard either.

Thank you for allowing me membership in this forum. I have been searching for information on the internet and came across this website. Needless to say my head is spinning with information. Advance apologies for so many questions. Im overwhelmed.

Currently have a 2019 Panamera E-hybrid as well as a Cayenne Coupe S. I have placed a demand for a Panamera E-hybrid "S". Really wasnt considering a Taycan until a buddy of mine down the street got one. I was actually in Atlanta for the driving experience when the Taycan hit the floor. Prior to this I had a panamera, Panamera S and Cayenne ( decaffeinated not the S)

I was looking at possibly trying to get an allocation for a Taycan Turbo. My questions are:

1. Any of you make the switch from Panamera to Taycan? Any regrets?

2. Is there a section on this site for recommended options when ordering a Taycan? The selections are endless. I built my panamera in like 20 mins. The taycan im a little lost.

3. GTS VS Turbo...... worth an extra 20k?

Thank you folks. Im in Dallas
Just received my Taycan GTS (traded a 2017 Macan GTS and have had 911's previously). The Taycan GTS is great (Turbo is tempting but don't really see the benefit, especially for the dollars). One thing to be aware of, I am a tech guy and the Taycan even pushes me to the limits. Porsche really made the electronics over complicated and buggy. Will all improve with updates but you will need to be tolerant of it and also you have to take joy in learning how these thing work (which I do), but I know many people can grow frustrated. Awesome car, definitely the future and drives just like a Porsche should.

Ingress and egress is more difficult, rear seat room is tighter, trunk is smaller, and visibility rearward is worse. Everything else is better in the Taycan.
I traded 2017 Panamera 4S for Taycan Turbo. Agree with the above comment, and would add, that I like the Taycan much more than the Panamera notwithstanding those comments. For me, the Panamera was always a little too large for a 4 passenger car.

I would not bet on any improvement. Porsche has shown they are not updating previous Taycan's just 1 and 2 years old. You need to be ok with what you get today. I've had one for 2 years and interface and technology wise, nothing has improved at all.

I just got a Cayenne GTS with older PCM5 and it feels like an upgrade...

Size wise the Taycan is a LOT smaller than the Panamera. Trunk space in the Panamera is hard to beat unless you get the CT/ST. The drive of the Taycan is a lot better to me than the Panamera bc of the smaller footprint but still have 4 doors for the family.

I wouldn't call this a lot smaller.

Panamera: 199-205″ L x 76-78″ W x 56″ H
Taycan: 195-196″ L x 78″ W x 54-56″ H

Interior not exterior. The interior of the Taycan is tighter than the Panamera, as is the rear trunk space.
And trunk space is even smaller if you have Bose…

Exterior dimensions are not much smaller than the Panamera, but the Taycan feels much smaller to drive, more than the difference in exterior dimensions suggest.
