Still nope for me :)

PEC ha e confirmed they ha e one though. And confirmed they have a GTS with and without PDCC. So will be getting that booked in soon.
Excellent. That is what I want to trial: is there a difference between PDCC or not having it?

I'm not back in the UK until July now, so will get my PEC booked in around then.

I have heard nothing from my dealer, but was told in mid-Feb when I dropped my deposit to expect a 12-15 month wait before delivery. Porsche Leicester.

I am sure that has now shifted.

I expect delivery summer 2023.

Joking aside, the T's&C's state something like "no obligation to fulfill orders in the order they were placed", so they could add every new order to the top of their list, telling the customer they're number 1, but that's no guarantee of delivery ahead of anyone else on the list.

And based on that, I wonder if it's done by customer value (repeat purchasers) and then by order value.

Ultimately, every dealership has an annual sales target and each dealer has a commission to chase.

Would they really prioritise a £110k over a £130k order?

There probably is some algo or methodology where the former get bumped to later in the year or are pushed through only where the sales forecast looks good.

It's business, even if it is a bit unfair.

Do dealerships (UK) in larger towns/cities get more allocations than those in smaller towns/cities? Ive no idea how Germany allocate build slots to all the dealerships with orders!

It's business, even if it is a bit unfair.
When demand far outstrips supply, I guess they might even take account of soft factors like how easy a customer is to deal with, how wedded they are to the brand versus competitors, their potential alignment with Porsche's strategic vision (such as future product offerings), etc.

Do dealerships (UK) in larger towns/cities get more allocations than those in smaller towns/cities?
In general, yes, though it's likely done at a model and variant level rather than an overall number of vehicles. It'll take account of both recent historical sales and order books, which in turn is driven by the number and types of customers in their catchment area, and the typical requirements of those customers (e.g. SUV v sports cars v limited edition GT cars, ICE v EV etc). But from personal experience I know that a smaller (less urban) dealer can sometimes offer an identical variant much sooner than a larger one- even though they had far fewer slots allocated, they had little demand v the larger city dealer that was overrun with new-to-Porsche business customers taking advantage of EV tax benefits. On the other hand though, the smaller dealer had no available allocation of the rarer variants.

Was at the PED yesterday.
Amazing!
Sadly, they don’t have the GTS available until mid May approx.
I was advised that they hadn’t as yet seen the GTS ST.
That said, here’s what I saw tucked away in the car park along from the entrance.

There's my car and in the colour I want.

Glad your PED was fun - I got the invite the other week and booking in the summer when I'm back from abroad.

I love how they told you they hadn't yet seen a GTS ST. And there it is in the car park. Could they not have given you a real reason why it isn't available to drive rather than fob you off like some child? ?

My Porsche Centre told me I was 2nd in the que.... I guess he got worried some of the people he was telling were first in the que might know each other ?
I'm 15th or 16th. How to make someone feel loved...

I guess I should be planning to spec a flux capacitor and hoverboards.
