Hi all, after days of reading & thinking I’ve ordered a ST RWD. My dealer in the UK had 2 new cars ready for June but I want my custom build so I’ll be waiting probably until Q3 this year.
Here is my build: http://www.porsche-code.com/PNSHXZN5
The reason I went for ST RWD over CT4 is that I don’t want to wait the long queue for the CT4, which is estimated for Q1 next year. Otherwise I guess I like the looks of CT even better.
I currently own a Tesla M3 and this will be my first ever Porsche. I know I am sacrificing performance but Porsche is a childhood dream for me so I don’t really care much
So in the end I’ll be paying over 18k for the options in a base model. This is literally 25% of the car’s actual price. I am not buying this car to sell soon, but tell me please, am I overdoing it? How is Porsche market in general? What’s the usual common sense in this? Is it too much to add options worth 1/4 of a base car’s actual value.
And not to mention I’m still eyeing truffle interior + sports sound + chrono so it can go even up. It is dangerously endless
Ice grey metallic
I was getting a Frozen Blue, wasn’t even thinking about ice grey but then one day I saw this live on the road and that was it. Beautiful - case closed
Air Suspension
I am still in between. If the ride is more comfortable I’ll take it, but if it is only for adjusting the ride height then I don’t think I’m keen.
Noise Insulated Glass with Privacy
Coming from Model 3, I know how noisy it can get inside an EV, ironically because it is too quiet so it lets everything in. The music quality deteriorates and we have to speak in higher tones inside the cabin to hear each other. That’s one thing I really don’t like about Model 3 so that’s why I’m opting this option. I don’t want a noisy cabin.
Black partial leather with colour matching trim and Aluminium accents
I think I like partial leather enough. Accent package and aluminium to spice things up in a cost effective way.
Surround View
I heard the rear camera is poor, so opted in for surround view.
Folding & dimming mirrors
These should be standard in any car above 30k
Black exterior trims
Door handles and model designation because it looks cool and feels more customised
Driver memory package
Just got it for the curb side assistance. Still thinking about 14 way seats instead.
ACC
For long trips I might use it, and it future proofs the car to some extent for other updates.
Passenger Display, Performance Battery and Glass Roof
Wife approval factor
