Hi guys
Anyone got hands experience of a tyre and wheel insurance which actually works and pays out for Porsche wheels
I’m getting black polished mission early wheels and knowing how ever much I am careful I am going to screw up and it’s going to hurt in my gut.

My dealer says their car care plan won’t be suitable because I’m going to buy my car in my LTD company name via a pcp deal.

There seem to be a bunch of companies. Rather pay a company that doesn’t solve the problem by throwing me loads of excuses when I finally need to claim

Insurance via OPC and it ought not matter the legal title - its the car that’s covered.

I have this:
https://totallossgap.co.uk/smartcare-cosmetic-insurance/906
£300 for 3yr cover on wheels, bodywork, interior. Have a claim going through right now for NSR 20” Turbo Aero with kerb damage with a diamond cut rim. Actual repair is done by Revive. Have used them before on my Merc and quality is good - not A+ but at least as good as the alloy wheel repair lot that the dealer used to repair my NSF when it got kerbed on it’s way back to me somehow.
Didn’t ask if it’s a company car on finance (it is). They do cover 21” I believe.

Morning. The profile pic had the same wheels as mine on order. I also have the light interior which I think you have too? Photos would be appreciated and may help decide before lock date? TIA

Morning Folks,
I have tyre & alloy insurance with Total Loss Gap. Have had to use them once for my Taycan Exclusive Wheel kerb damaged & found them extremely efficient.
Company insurer Spectrum recommended Wheel Doctor near Gatwick which worked out to be perfect for me as was flying out for holiday. Left the car with them on a Saturday & picked up following week on a Sunday. Exceptional job & customer service!
Wheel Doctor told me that unlike companies they found this insurer the best in giving authorisation without any fuss.

I just looked at the t&cs from the OPC insurance. It does not covered broken, cracked or buckled alloys.

it’s a Car Care Plan policy.

Nice, thanks both, my OPC (Hatfield) also doesn’t offer alloy insurance or even ceramic coating. Odd for a dealer not to go for every penny and increase in margin possible. My dealer did say they only get recognised for the list price of the car these days (not even Porsche configurator options) so perhaps the policy was changed to prevent a hard sell.

I have just kerbed my mission E wheels painted in ice grey. Do you know what they charged to fix your wheels?

Morning Rayo, All had to do was pay £10.00 excess. Insurance took care of the remainder which to be honest have no idea what it was. The job they did is magnificent.
Might be better to call them directly & ask unless you took out insurance.
Thank you.
