Definitive Cross Turismo Delay/Stop-Order/Held in Port Thread

I officially switched over from a cross Turismo to a similarly priced 4S due to the it being stuck at port since Feb. for some reason I don’t trust the car after it has sat for so long. New car due in first week of June. Not much of a wait difference at this point in time! And the dealer was very cool about just moving my deposit over to the 4S.

Which dealership? Porsche Marin mentioned last week that the waiting period is now 18 months.

just got this from my dealership - bummed:

We just got an update on your car and it appears we are waiting for a backup camera bracket for your Cross Turismo. This is currently not in the country and I expect to get a notification soon when these are shipping from Germany. My sincere apologies for the delays but hopefully this will be resolved soon. Thank you and enjoy your weekend

I got the exact same message from Porsche Marin this morning. They also mentioned that the bracket is needed because the camera is not compliant with US regulations for not sticking out far enough. Hard to believe to be honest. Sounds ridiculous.

I ordered a CT4 on July 18, 2021. Initial delivery date was Dec 24th. I'm now on the same boat as @vonsh. Same dealership too. Not sure what to say anymore. I just hope the cars are safe when delivered and not ending up needing repairs often. I should check the lemon laws I guess.

Porsche park place Dallas. They had a 4S coming in that was a dealer build but it matched the main things I wanted in my car. When I switched I wasn’t expecting to receive the cross Turismo in May just because of how many delays already happened. If you’re wanting to switch, I’d talk to your SA about any incoming Taycans they have.
I use the Porsche website search function for new inventory because it is pretty up to date.

Friends CT4 in Ice Gray Metallic has been delivered to the dealership and is PPF away from delivery. It has the Surround View and was built the last week of February (mine was December). This suggests it’s not the camera bracket…. but who knows. *shrug*

it’s really nice and supports the phrase “those who see Ice Grey Metallic in person order it.” Very deep. Together with how wide it is, it reminds me of a Ludacris lyric-

All white top, all white belt
And all white jeans, body looking like milk
No time for games, she's full grown

UPDATE: My TYD app has now reset to read a transport date of May 13th with arrival to Dealership of May 27th. My build complete date was January 27th with arrival at Emden on January 28th, shipped on Glovis Sigma on March 1st, arrival at San Diego port on March 26th.

Has anyone received their CT that had a late January build date?

So glad to hear that some CTs are finally being delivered. Sounds like all so far are at Houston ? Hope Benicia gets whatever is needed to start getting the cars out of Port Processing..
