My taycan 4s 2022 model with performance battery was delivered on March 30 2022. I have not managed to get more than 180 km range from it. I read threads that the more I drive it the range will get better but I have now driven 700 km and no change. I understand AC makes a difference etc which is just on auto and I also tried putting it off but that only accounts for approx 20 km. I contacted my sales guy the very first week who said not to worry everything is under warranty but that’s not the point for a new car. They had me come in and charged it full and told me to keep an eye on it still no change. They then ran some test to see if the car has brought up faults and it has not. So they booked me in for service end of June. Not happy about that at all. They keep saying driving affects range but not by that much. I am getting half of the minimum range posted for my car

Is the 180km the predicted range or you did actually drive 180km going from 100% to 0% ?
Is it in one go, or the sum of multiple drives (which would main several times heating up the car)
I would recommend to actually drive 100% to ±5% in one go to have a real measurement.

For reference: My RWD performance battery Taycan could easily do +300km from the start. (at about 10 degrees celcius)

At full charge range shows 280 km and I have driven it ( mostly city driving short trips) but actual range driven with 14 percent remaining was 160 km. I am in Vancouver canada. The range odometer seems to go down 2 to 3 km every km I drive.
your range of 300 km sounds amazing for me right now. I have not taken long trip because I keep getting worried I will run out of range and where will I charge it.

Would you describe your driving style?
180km for 100% of SoC means almost 50 kwh/100km ... and I really couldn't imagine what you are doing (with accelerator)???

Just driving it on normal mode and city driving does not allow for me to speed. School drop offs which is 2 min down the road with four way stops and roundabout. Drive to work is fifteen minute drive but again through school areas etc so I am not driving fast at all

That's for sure not normal range even for the new car.
I'd print all data from Porsche Connect app, and demand a solution from a dealer (replacement).
btw: can you post some examples from app?

You appear to have the PB battery and your numbers look low. But if these are guess-o-meter numbers you might want to try an actual test. Charge to 100%, find a relatively flat highway maybe in the delta and go for a drive. drive till the SOC hits 40% then turn around and drive back. Maybe 150 km out and 150 km back. You should be able to make that easily.

The estimated range for the Taycan is not a single number but a range of numbers. A quick check gives these. I agree with the numbers for the PB+ as this is what I see for highway driving depending on the conditions. This covers a wide range of temperatures at highway speed.

For the PB battery 354 km - 431 km
For the PB + battery 407 km - 484 km

I am able to view total range from last charge or from the beginning but where would a detailed data be on the app

I will have to do a highway test to see if the range changes, however I can not imagine it changing much but will see. Thx for weigh in

Is there any taycan drivers in Vancouver with just the performance battery that can weigh in regarding their stats so that I have real comparison data to provide to the Porsche centre?

Do you leave your car plugged in overnight and use the pre-heating programme timed for when you leave.
I don’t have my Taycan yet but my hybrid uses about double the normal power for the first 5 miles or so whilst everything warms up.
Pre-heating whilst still plugged in will deal with that extra energy supply from the mains. Or at least I am guessing it will.

I don’t know about that plan. Did you mean until the SoC hits 60%?

Performance Battery OR Performance Battery Plus? Plus gives you extended range as you're probably aware.

Based on what you have said, your power consumption seems quite high. Here is a screenshot from MyPorsche of a week of driving my CT4 on mostly local short trips on Vancouver Islan..similar weather and temps. When I first got my car back in Dec in winter weather I was getting power consumption 27-33kwh/100km. As time went on it has dropped around 23kwh/100km.
you can also monitor your consumption on the instrument cluster (right hand tube 3) ”Trip” display. Hope those numbers help you.
