Waiting to collect my GTS next week so any help or tips would be great.

Collecting my Taycan GTS next Tuesday ? spec attached. Ordered a Turbo S but as we all know long wait and this popped up so could not resist.
Carrera White GTS and not a bad spec(please don’t abuse me as i didn’t spec it ?) demo car was available without the wait.
sub 2,000 miles on it.
Any watch out for, or tips would be appreciated.
offered silly money for my Tesla 3 performance to trade in so why not.
great to meet you all and love these informative forums as you get real answers and experience.
PPF on the front and gtechniq ceramic coat being applied.

Loads of non essential extras but nothing makes it worse and most makes it better.
Still have Race Tex and Black Spyders for true GTS
I love monochrome pale coloured GTS to show black details.
I would have left callipers red for a flash of colour.
We ALL want to know what you paid??!!
Is it your local dealer Chester’s demo?
25k (?) extras. 140k list?
£160k with mark up?
I hope they threw in the ceramic coating or was that another £995?!
Now go and enjoy it.
It is so rare you will still get your money back!

£134k all in so I thought it was a good deal for a 16/3/22 1,753 mile car. I agree on the red callipers but I’ll live with the black ones. Should hold its money well.

Maybe on lease payments ….but I didn’t think if you bought it outright through your business unless exclusively used for business use ….good luck with that….I think its only 50%…maybe I’m wrong ?

I believe it is if exclusive for business use and also not available to any other employee for private use. I leave all this to the accountant ? the VAT is a minefield. I’m happy that I got one and still offset against corporation tax which is good news. I’m just going to enjoy it.

You’ll likely qualify for 50% VAT, but only if you are leasing the vehicle. If you’re paying via PCP / HP or cash, you won’t qualify to get back the VAT.

VAT can be claimed, and they investigate quite often to make sure you can prove zero private use, for example driving to work is private use.

Beautiful car. Mine was also a launch vehicle which I grabbed while in transit. Same build but mine came with leather interior instead of Race-Tex. You will love it. Congrats!

You'll be getting a lot of second glances and camera phones pointed at you.

With the VAT, you can't reclaim any of it.

Check with your accountant. If you're trying to anything "exotic" to avoid VAT, I would be very cautious. It's not worth it. You can afford the car, so you can afford the VAT.

Don't risk the fine.

I’m not worried about the vat element. I wouldn’t risk anything. Ticked a bucket list item and plan on enjoying the car. Enough savings with corp tax etc. Thanks ?

cheers! I should be picking my GTS in 10 days or so.

The PPF front is already done and I have asked for proper prep for the ceramic coating, should only need a stage one polish to make sure no swirls or marks are left before the coating is applied. Seen too many just put the coating on after a wash and dry ?. I’ll post some pictures Tuesday with a smile I hope.
