I have a ST GTS on order, could some kind person let me know what the standard boot edge looks like?

All of the cars I've seen in showrooms have a metal panel, is this standard or do I need to spec the full door sill set to get "Loading edge protection in stainless steel".

We have a dog so want something other than plastic there.

On a side note the dog is the reason I'm buying an ST, I need an electric estate car and there are very few to choose from, I thank him daily ?

Saloons and STs are same - plastic with the brushed aluminium plate (black on GTS) as standard (I still have the blue polythene protector on mine).

when I had the PPT put on my car, I had them put that on the brushed aluminum trunk trim.

That’s a good idea. How is it holding up?
No issue at all. The Film went on smoothly without any bubbles or wrinkles. The installer was a bit concerned given the contour of the trimpiece but it worked perfectly.

For those ordering the black brushed aluminum door sills, one thing to note — the trunk loading sill is not in matching black. I wasn’t aware of this when I placed my order. Doesn’t change my decision, but it does mean I have this one piece of silvery material on my car.

Not sure if it's the same as referenced above, but I specced the personalised reversible Luggage Compartment Mat with Leather Edging and Loading Edge Protection
...which has the rather OTT free choice of leather edging and stitching colours.
That Weathertech one looks more practical for muddy mutts though.
(I've not had my car long enough to decide where best to accomodate my canine companion...she won't be impressed if she gets demoted from her previous rear seat hammock and tethered harness)

At least in the US, it can be had in non-personalized form, not limited to a configured option at time of build/purchase. I would imagine the WeatherTech or Porsche OEM rigid plastic liner would be better for muddy / wet dogs - for water containment and ability to hose it down for cleaning.
