Sorry if this has been posted but I’m trying to get insurance for my company car as sole director.

1. I’m putting my name as registered keeper and company as the owner
2. I’ll pay for the insurance and claim back from my company
3. Are there any particular companies better for insurance on a 4S cross Turismo - at the moment I’ve found Admiral to be the cheapest but it’s still expensive!

TIA!
As many others - Admiral seems to be one of the best to offer. I have no tracker... just standard insurance. Same ownership set up as you.

I would humbly disagree with this. We've all seen the stolen vehicles with a fitted tracker that gets yanked out and the car/JCB disappears. The PVTS turns the owner into the tracker. If the crims steal the car key or hack it if the fob is not in the car it is not going very far. A call from Vodafone and they can disable it and call the rozzers. Then people say "do I want the car back after it has been defiled". Answer depends if you want to wait 70 weeks for a new one.
Not sure what your disagreeing with … I didn’t opine on ‘other trackers’, simply said there was another article on it. Are you suggesting don’t have a tracker ? I have PVTS in my Macan (wasn’t called PVTS then) and my Taycan. My insurance is cheaper as a result. Bit confused what your disagreeing with.

wow they cheapest I getis still admiral but it’s 964 with the little box tracker which I don’t want or £1375 off without the box.

I think it’s the London postcode maybe.
LV is a close second place.
Yep that won't help plus I'm old and grey!

Porsche has had PVTS and PVTS+ as an option across the range for many years including the Macan from launch (I had a Turbo).

Not at a all. Clean licence. Max NCB, protected. 58 YO. I dont want a black box in my car at all....how can I have fun with big brother watching me...
£675 (from memory). Adding a tracker saved maybe £20.. so didn't do that. - I see you're in London... that will make a difference I am sure.

yes I’m 50 and I got 10 NCD but London definitely hurting me I think. Got admiral to £1304 although drops with multi car. Might even be worth a second banger to use !

There's the old trick of insuring the wife and then having you as the named driver at no extra cost. Don't think it is an old wives' tale.

Yeah but then it is down to who is the main driver...hand on heart stuff, don't fabricate the truth on this stuff IMHO.

No doubt London post code hurts. I'm not even grey...just old and bald! 55 yrs old with £480 from memory last year. Renewal due soon. No doubt multi car helps but as W1 NGE says, give them the correct facts. Insurers will look for anything to get out of a claim!

Ultimately, i don’t have an option on this! I know insurance premiums have jumped from last year by 25% on my current car.

I might also look into a steering lock although if someone wants the car they will take it. Does anyone else use a steering lock ?

Yes. I use the Stoplock Pro Elite. Swear by it. No one is getting through that without an angle grinder. Also used for my Beamers before. Neighbours over the road kept getting their Range Rover nicked. Even got the final theft on CCTV. Probably in Albania now. So, Stoplock Pro Elite, key pouch and PVTS. If anyone wants my Taycan they will have to kick the door in. Then they will meet the ? who doesn't like people. Just keep the Stoplock key and PVTS tracker separate from the car key. I have them on the house keys keyring.

That’s really helpful - I’ll order it a week before the car comes. Don’t know if it changes the insurance probably not. I was surprised dashcam has no impact on premium either.

Having the blackvue900x front and rear cameras fitted - better than the Porsche one which is the same as the one i have in the Audi (rubbish)
