'21 RWD Taycan. Picked up the non-performance battery car in late March and have done 900 km's so far.
Guessometer range has been well below Porsche EPA of 200 miles (320 km). I have yet to fully charge the battery and don't plan to and will stick around 80-85% highest SoC, but even with a calculated 100% charge, guessometer is giving me sub-300 km range.

Mostly city driving, but still, sub-300km is way out of range.

When do we start seeing ~200 miles ot 320km range estimates for the base taycan?

Out of the box my GTS with the bigger battery has ~240miles/400km of range at 100% SoC. Ive driven about 900km overall as well. First day, range was about 320km, then increased as it gets used to my driving habits.

Need more info. What mode do you drive in? What height do you drive in (if air suspension)? What wheels do you have? Power charge port or regular? How do you drive?

I also have a base, but the performance battery. I have 1,100 miles on it now and at 85% it shows 240ish mile range. I usually keep it in lowest height, sport mode always, 1/2 city 1/2 highway, 20" turbo aero wheels, and normal charge door.

Normal mode, no air suspension. 21 inch Mission E, power charge port.
100% City driving. Too many cameras here for me to do any spirited driving. Have yet to even launch the car after 900 kms. NOT EVEN ONCE lol.

I think the city driving is killing the EPA.

When you use the Porsche Range calculator, that configuration (Base Taycan, w/o performance+ battery, 21-inch wheels, 100% city driving) comes out to ~160miles of range:

Best range is 80-100 km/h roads with constant speed and normal outside temperatures (20-25 degrees)
My predicted range was 450 km over the last two months (CT4 20 inch wheels, normal drive mode). When I programmed a long trip in PCM with mostly highway it directly went down to 360 km. I think this is about the normal highway range. And probably this is the most important thing to know about the range. 400 km is possible on B roads but I don’t think that would be very common on a road trip. In the Netherlands and Norway range will be more with lower max speeds.

That tool is very wrong. For my car it came back with 40 miles below what I typically see.

‘21 RWD, no Air suspension, Mission E’s, drive on normal mode. No performance battery.

Typically I get 180-240 miles based mostly on weather. Warm and sunny in Southern California and I’m sitting at Electrify as we speak with 230 miles at 95%

I don't get how EPA can be so drastically off from the "real world". The whole point is to give consumers an accurate metric to make informed purchases.

I didn't care about range, nor do I today given my predominant daily city driving, but it does beg one to question. There's a certain amount of low-balling that gives off an air of modesty but with the Taycan, it sounds like low-esteem issues borderline depression. Apologies for the weird analogy but thats what came to mind.

All Taycans have the Performance Battery (PB) but some have the Performance Battery Plus (PB+) either as an option or standard.

Range depends on many factors as I'm sure you'll appreciate by now. Short drives in the city are probably not ideal and will lead to higher consumption.

I would suggest charging to 100% to see what the potential range might be given the ambient temperature where you live and the battery temperature at that time. You can go further and switch your AC to ECO PLUS (or OFF) and set to RANGE Drive Mode to see how much the range could be extended to.

Your car is fairly young so you should expect the theoretical range increase and then level out - perhaps in another 900km.

If you haven't reset your Trip meter then check the consumption figure under 'Total Trip' and let us know what the value is - this represents a good consumption average across all your driving since last reset. Use this number to compare against the WLTP number (which is a meaningless number in itself).

Familiariise yourself with the WLTP (https://www.wltpfacts.eu/) and how it works - still a controlled environment and not realistic either. Nobody drives like how the folks in white coats test IMHO.

Better still - enjoy the car and forget the range and associated anxieties!

Only time at sub 30 KMh per 100km is on high ways. 11km/hr average speed ha! This car kills it in peak hour traffic.

Thanks! good suggestions, but sometimes during a charge it's nice to see big numbers on the range. It just adds to the feeling that this car is everything is should/can/will/be.

Thx - so this works out at 1.83 miles which is high consumption. Given your average speed this makes some sense. On a longer journey you should expect 2.6 miles or higher (depending on various things).
